Yesterday, we started rolling out some player-based features after all the excitement of last week’s Show Me Qualifier. That discussion featured a medley of 2026s from every position on the court. Time to narrow that down a bit.
2027 setters grabbed our attention right away. The Great Plains Region is stacked with savvy distributors piling up valuable experience on these national stages. The future is in good hands–literally and figuratively.
Mauch’s accolades keep piling up. Her Premier 15 Gold squad now has the distinction of being “double qualified” for GJNC after a third-place finish in Kansas City. The Bennington prep star is new to this squad in 2024 but brings the steady leadership you’d expect from a seasoned veteran. Mauch combines her consistent setting with unmatched defensive grit to become one of 15 Gold’s strongest ball-control specialists.
Just another big weekend for this emerging star. Moser guided VCNebraska 15 Elite to a bid at MEQ and kept the momentum going on the other side of the Show Me State. 15 Elite’s up-tempo attack is anchored by Moser’s incredible feel for pace and location. She is especially good at pushing the ‘go’ set to the outside, which has become 15 Elite’s favorite play in must-score situations. Look for these skills to translate to another big outing at Nationals.
Snider was one of Nebraska’s earliest 2024 standouts from this class. She guided Nebraska Elite 15 Revolution’s high-powered offense to a 15 Open championship in Minneapolis, and the wins kept rolling in from there. This talented setter gives Nebraska Elite a lot more than just her poise as a setter. Snider will also deliver dimes from behind the service line and can alter a match when she rotates in. The GJNC stage will offer another chance for Snider to showcase her skills against the nation’s best.
The Show Me Qualifier updated our scouting report for so many Nebraska Juniors athletes. Wiedel is a name we had circled for 15 Black after she spread the ball around nicely in Kansas City. She was not deterred by the challenging grind of 15 Open competition. Rather, Wiedel made the most of her reps and helped expand 15 Black’s overall setter depth. This Nebraska Juniors squad has a lot of lineups in its arsenal.
VCNebraska 15 Black captured our attention by starting the Show Me Qualifier on a five-match winning streak. Kroll was one of the team’s reliable weapons who made this triumph possible. The Lincoln North Star prep athlete will readily guide 15 Black in a 5-1 system. This allows Kroll to display her physical presence along the net while also being an attacking threat on the dump. The VCN gym has a handful of future prep stars at this position, and the Show Me Qualifier gave us a great preview.
Bowman remains at the center of Nebraska ONE 15 Black’s operation. She is a fearless setter who is never afraid to go against the flow and make a unexpected choice. 15 Black also keeps long rallies alive through Bowman’s Zone 1 defensive prowess. Her complete game is rounded out in the front row, where Bowman will collect her share of kills on the second ball.
Nebraska Elite’s setter group keeps delivering on qualifier stages. Bradley has been mentioned here before, particularly after Nebraska Elite 15-2’s strong showing in Minneapolis. The same storyline played out in Kansas City as Bradley aided her hitters in several close matches. As the 2027 watch list keeps evolving, look for Bradley to make her case for a spot in the ranked list.
Highlights
Ellaray Koch

Nebraska Pride Gold 15s pushed through a stacked field of 15 USA teams last weekend, and Koch always made an impact for her small-town team. This is a new addition to our radar, which makes Nebraska Pride’s Show Me presence even more exciting. Koch connected well with her hitters while adapting to a few different lineups and starting rotations. Hi-Line High School is getting some representation on the club stage.
Addison Nauenburg

Nebraska Juniors is another club that went two-deep into Show Me’s first weekend. And, like Koch, Nauenburg appears ready to make her entrance in the 2027 watch list. She brings a multi-dimensional presence for 15 Red, as she can set all the way around her play opposite in the front row. Nauenburg and 15 Red are battle-tested after last weekend’s qualifier and will get even stronger through upcoming regional contests.
