Standouts from Motor City Madness’ 18 Open

Here are some of the standouts from the 18 Open at Motor City Madness.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='459259' first='Lydia' last='Michelin'] - Michigan Elite</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This middle has become a welcome addition to the Elite cannon and she put an exclamation point on that this weekend. Scoring at an extremely high level, whether if it was in front of or behind the setter, [player_tooltip player_id='459259' first='Lydia' last='Michelin'] was unstoppable at times.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='110335' first='Avery' last='Woodard'] - Michigan Elite</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In a last hurrah in an Elite jersey, [player_tooltip player_id='110335' first='Avery' last='Woodard'] put a great cap onto an exciting volleyball career. Defending lights out this weekend, Woodard also was grabbing quite a few points of her own with her intense serving pressure.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='153662' first='Catherine' last='Flaharty'] - L2</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While this squad may be down and out with some injuries, this has allowed [player_tooltip player_id='153662' first='Catherine' last='Flaharty'] to shine even brighter than she's had before. The Xavier commit was causing mass chaos on the right side throughout the weekend. A shut down blocker and an imposing threat offensively, Flaharty led L2 to a runner-up finish.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='172207' first='Olivia' last='Behen'] - L2</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Back in her rightful libero position after a season at setter, [player_tooltip player_id='172207' first='Olivia' last='Behen'] continues to make serious impressions on the court. Her first contact was strong from start to finish and she was everywhere on defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='482161' first='Jordyn' last='Anderson'] - Inside Out</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This was one of the first times I got to catch this Omaha-bound setter in action. Given [player_tooltip player_id='482161' first='Jordyn' last='Anderson']'s size, she is quite agile around the court. She runs a tight ship and was giving many opponents fits throughout the weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='110302' first='Adrienne' last='Greschaw'] - NBVBC</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In one last go around, [player_tooltip player_id='110302' first='Adrienne' last='Greschaw'] capped off a stellar volleyball career with North Branch. Despite lingering injuries for Greschaw, she was looking quite mobile and ran a really strong offense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
