The Illinois Class of 2027 Watchlist is Out! What Now?
The Illinois Class of 2027 Watchlist is out! What now?
We have over 150 athletes listed on the “Watch List” for the Illinois Class of 2027. These are athletes that have shown promise in their high school and club careers so far. Athletes in their 15s year of club are always exciting. They are starting to find their groove as athletes and coming into their own.
Not on the watch list? Need to change information on your profile? All of those questions can be answered on our “Prospect Index”. For the Class of 2027, there is a small percentage that sees substantial varsity time, finding the high school for the athlete can be difficult. In order to keep the information current and up to date, claim your profile and this will not only help Prep Dig Scouts, but will help others searching the athlete for recruiting purposes to see current information.
If there are other changes needed, you can contact the Prep Dig Customer Support.
How is a watchlist used and converted into rankings? This is a starting point and I am a huge advocate saying that rankings are simply a tool. College coaches will not give a scholarship or deny a scholarship based on what an athlete’s ranking is. The most important part in this process is to keep information up to date, including video. When I am evaluating players or double checking information, I will go into Google and type “First Name Last Name Volleyball”. Athletes who are keeping up to date with information will typically have a HUDL video, a link to a recruiting profile where I can see their high school, club, and any other updates (when they are older they can show when they are committed).
