While it was not possible to watch every team and athlete, we were able to see a ton of athletes in action, placing priority on teams playing in Open and in the top 10 of the 16U division.
Below are the standout setters from the class of 2025.
We got to see Schnell in action for G3 18-1 as the team’s primary setter. Schnell is incredibly athletic and quick, and she uses her strength effectively to push the ball from pin to pin. Schnell brings a sense of confidence to the court and does a great job of running a fast offense.
Hawk is one of the setters for NPJ Portland 17 National and is a natural team leader. She is a quintessential all-around setter and right side, using her great touch on the ball to run a smooth offense and making huge contributions for her team from both positions.
Stanley, setting for NPJ Salem 18 National, did an excellent job executing a 5-1 when we watched her team play at Regionals. With great hands and a soft touch on the ball, Stanley ran a quick, effective offense.
Highlights
We watched Winebarger set for COVC 18-1, the 2024 Regional Champions in the 18s Division. Showcasing a really nice jump set, Winebarger ran a quick tempo offense. She placed her sets well, hiding the location effectively from opponents. And, Winebarger was active on defense.
Highlights
Crawford ran a 6-2 opposite Alyssa Lewey Alyssa Lewey 6’0″ | S Sheldon | 2024 State OR for Webfoot 18-1. Crawford has great hands and a near perfect contact on the ball, which she uses to place the ball well. Crawford plays solid defense, too, and she came in clutch with her smart setting decisions throughout the tournament.

Morrisette is one of the setters for NPJ Salem 17 National. On the first day of Regionals, Morrisette jumped in to lead her team to a win in the crossover match against Aspire NW 18-1, using her quick footwork and smart setting decisions to run an effective offense. Morrisette is committed to Seattle University!

We watched McGehee set for the Athena 17-1 Gold team. As the team’s primary setter who frequently ran a fast tempo 5-1 this weekend, McGehee showed off her soft and quick touch on the ball. McGehee plays with a very calm, cool, and collected demeanor.

Davis, running a 5-1 for NPJ Bend 17 National, used her strong hands and quick touch on the ball to set a fast tempo this weekend. Davis has strong court vision, which she uses well to make smart setting decisions.
We watched Mitchell play for her NPJ Salem 17 National team. Mitchell runs a quick tempo offense with discipline and precision. And, Mitchell is a super well-rounded player; in fact, on Day 1, she had to hit from the outside while some teammates were out and did a great job. Mitchell is committed to the University of Oregon!
Highlights
Geymann is a strong setter for OJVA 17-1. At Regionals, we watched the leftie setter execute a 5-1 well, using her great energy and communication to lead her team. Geymann also does a good job of feeding her team’s middles and finding them in transition.

Setting for Rosemary Anderson Prep, Sorensen played strongly during Regionals. She uses great footwork and makes smart setting decisions, helping her team to score. Sorensen is also an active defender.
