With the hundreds of teams coming to town this weekend in various sites around central Indiana, we've taken the time to talk about available athletes from Indiana that will be playing this weekend. Today's edition covers the 17/18 Premier division. Here are ten athletes from ten different clubs that will be some of the main reasons for their team's success.

Academy 17-3E Avalanche

If you're looking for a strong, athletic six-rotation outside, look no further than [player_tooltip player_id='152942' first='Faith' last='Kresge'] ('25, 5-8 OH, Greenwood Christian). Part of the first team in high school history to advance to the regional, Faith is a strong and athletically sound outside that does just as well in serve receive as she does on the attack. Her quick footwork makes up for the apparent lack of size, and her willingness to take chances when swinging earns her more points that expected.

B-Town VBC 17 Red

A regional club centered at Indiana University, B-Town has yet another GCA athlete in [player_tooltip player_id='539959' first='Addisyn' last='Yoder'] ('25, 5-11 MB, Greenwood Christian) that should get a following. Big and physical, she can make attackers alter their shots into errors when she's blocking and does well enough on transition to keep opposing defenses honest with her attacking.

Circle City 17 White

Let's stay in Johnson County for our third athlete to mention. [player_tooltip player_id='220831' first='Sophia' last='Dyer'] ('26, 5-11 MB, Whiteland) is a three-sport stud (basketball, track) that uses all of her athletic acuity to put balls away. Broad-shouldered and strong, Sophia could be either middle position, as her ability to put balls away in front of and behind the setter are equally effective.

[program_tooltip program_id='488592' first='Indy' last='United'] 18-1

A newer addition to the club scene in Indiana, [program_tooltip program_id='488592' first='Indy' last='United'] has a mixture of uncommitted athletes to go along with their pair of commitments from the class of '24. Of the uncommitted, [player_tooltip player_id='539963' first='Paige' last='Mayer'] ('25, 5-7 OH/DS, Southport) has the biggest upside, as she could be anything from a three-rotation attacker at a small school to a full time DS. Her ball control is above average, and she uses all of her jumping ability to attack the ball at her max jump.

Monon Select 17E Tornados

Another regional club entered into this tournament, athleticism is spread all over this roster. One that stands out to me the most is [player_tooltip player_id='172326' first='Trinity' last='Parkin'] ('25, 6-0 Pin, Sheridan). She's a big and physical attacker that hits high and hard from both pins, and could probably play either pin at the next level. They say you can't teach size, and Miss Parkin is the biggest pin attacker listed in today's article.

NCISVBC 17-1

[player_tooltip player_id='539965' first='Bliss' last='Ulery'] ('25, 5-8 MB/RS, Lafayette Central Catholic) is currently seeing a lot of playing time in the middle, but should move to the right pin at the collegiate level because of her size. She's aggressive at the net and can defend just as well as some of the bigger kids at the net.

Rev 17-2 Swarm

One of the bigger lefties that I've covered in this class, [player_tooltip player_id='512156' first='Ellesyn' last='Odom'] ('25, 5-11 RS, Hamilton Southeastern) is a big and physical right side that can hit all of the angles needed. She's not just an arm, as evidenced by her ability to have a disciplined block at the net. At this time, I see her to be a three-rotation right side at the next level, and would be interested to see her future abilities on the defensive side.

Rev 18-2 Dolphins

Newer to the sport we all love, [player_tooltip player_id='539967' first='Allanah' last='Gilbert'] ('25, 6-1 MB, North Central) takes up space for days on the block and hits high and hard from the middle. She's new to the sport in comparison to others in this article, but her size and quick learning of the game has her already putting balls away at this level.

Team Indiana Elite 17.2

Our second lefty listed today, [player_tooltip player_id='502974' first='Emma' last='Stites'] ('25, 5-7 RS, Richmond) is a springy and quick right side with a whip for a left arm. She can terminate at will on quicker tempo balls and has the volleyball IQ to know what to do if and when the ball isn't perfect. Not much comes from the Richmond area in terms of solid volleyball skills, but it's nice to see Emma break that stereotype.

Tier 10 18 Condors

A team of mostly seniors ready to move on to the next chapter of their lives, Becca Robbins ('25, 6-1 MB, Linton-Stockton) has length and strength that allows her to put all balls away on every angle the defense gives her. Her transition needs to be a bit faster to catch some more attention from collegiate coaches, but it's coming, which is a good sign for a kid going into her final high school season next fall.
