Ten high school teams met in Topeka on June 15 to participate in the Kansas Klassic at Seaman High School and Middle School.

I scouted three matches at the event and was impressed and entertained by the quality of the matches.

Here is the second of three scouting reports covering the event. This report features four athletes who played a solid match in Red Pool action. Jefferson West and Louisburg met on Court 1 during the second round of matches. Three of them are members of the class of 2026 and played there way into Prep Dig rankings consideration.

Three athletes in the class of 2026 impressed me the most in the Louisburg and Jefferson West showdown. Kilgore is a six-rotation talent who can do it all on the court. She is a jumper and hits the ball with authority. She has solid instincts and plays good defense. She collected three kills, four serve receptions, and three digs in the match against the Tigers.

[player_tooltip player_id='552365' first='McKenna' last='Lohse'], 5'11”, MB, Louisburg, ‘26

Lohse is a physical front-row player who has the potential to dominate the net. She has a big frame and a bigger reach. She played front-row only for Wildcats and I see her as a front-row-only player at the collegiate level. She moves across the net with grace and avoids getting in the net. She finished with five kills and played club ball with the Midwest Jrs. Expect to see Lohse added to the Prep Dig rankings in July.

Addison Schwinn, 5'10”, MB, Jefferson West, ‘26

Schwinn is a gritty athlete. I was impressed with her overall game. She has a smooth motion when she serves, and her serve was accurate during the match against Louisburg. She moves well for a tall player. Her stat line against Louisburg included two kills, two digs, and one block.

[player_tooltip player_id='492580' first='Lauren' last='Crotinger'], 5'8”, OH, Jefferson West, ‘25

Crotinger was the one senior for Jefferson West that I was impressed with. She plays six rotations and plays with poise. She is currently ranked No. 133 in the Kansas Class of 2025 rankings but made a solid argument to climb those rankings when next updated. She recorded two kills, two blocks, and two serve receptions for the Tigers. She played for the Topeka Fury during the past club season.
