2027 Powerhouse Pins from the Gauntlet

I will forever be impressed with the sheer power some of these pins can consistently swing with. The discipline it takes to develop an explosive approach, and lightning-fast arm swing to build that much power should not be ignored. Here are some of the pins who were absolute powerhouses at the Gauntlet.    Aubrey was a player who consistently picked apart opposing blockers. Whether she swung through the block, found the seam, or swung high hands, she frustrated her opponents. Aubrey really impressed me with her power and quick snap on the ball.     Maggie is a high-flying pin with an insane amount of potential. Her power and explosive approach are impressive. Her back-row swings were nearly as powerful as her kills in the front row. Maggie makes herself an option in every play and consistently manufactures points for her team.     Lucy was on the pin at the Gauntlet, and wow, she was powerful. You could hear the thump of the ball when it hit the court. Her explosive approach, massive vertical, and keen court awareness allow her to find the court time and time again. She was one of the most explosive pins to explode onto my radar at the Gauntlet.     Keep Kate on your radar. She has an incredible amount of potential. She is 6'0" of power. She played six rotations and was a powerhouse pin from the front and back row. While she really excelled on offense, she did have a good impact on defense as well. She is a player who will only continue to elevate her game and the game of those around her.     Eleanor is a dominant six-rotation right side. She is also a lefty who can take massive rips on the ball. She is a talented defender who makes great pickups and always manages to make herself available to swing. Eleanor finds ways to positively impact every play and is a valuable athlete for any team.     Charlotte has improved an incredible amount this season. She is such a powerhouse who makes momentum-changing plays. She can swing on either pin and simply unload the ball. Charlotte is an energizer on the court and is not afraid to take risks to earn the point.     Emilija is a powerhouse pin with a huge vertical and a lightning-fast arm swing. She is aggressive and goes all out on every play. As her ball control improves and she continues to play at a high level, Emilija will be a force to be reckoned with. She also caught my eye in the back row, where she was scrappy on defense.     Ellie is such a fun pin to watch. She plays with a maturity and understanding of the game far beyond her age. She is smart, powerful, and insanely athletic. Ellie plays great serve receive as well and can consistently put up a good pass.     Shaye is simply amazing. She is an athletic 6-rotation right side who is 6'3" and only just finishing her sophomore year. I think it is safe to say she could be one of the top recruits in the nation in this class. She executes with precision and power that was unmatched at the Gauntlet.     I had the opportunity to see Akshara play last year at the Stock Up Showcase in Illinois. She impressed me then and has only continued to impress. Akshara was filling in on the outside at the Gauntlet and did a really great job. She is typically a lefty who plays on the right side but was an impact 6-rotation outside for her team. She has a high contact and fast arm swing that helps her power through blocks.
