Class of 2025 State Rankings Players to Know: Outsides

The Prep Dig Texas State Rankings were updated last month in a moment that was long expected for volleyball prospects in the Lone Star State.   More than moving players up and down in a list, the rankings update offers us an opportunity to paint a more realistic picture of the current scenario in Texas and highlight the prospects who experienced significant development over the last few months.   The process of updating the rankings also gives us, Prep Dig scouts, the perfect excuse to learn more and more about the players, be it by attending matches or tournaments in person or researching online, and now with the list released, it's time we share some of our findings.   Over the last few weeks, I've been going over the rankings, highlighting some players in each class. With the Classes of 2027 and 2026 already covered, it's time we now look into the 2025s, this time focusing on the outside hitters.    The sixth-best outside hitter and ninth overall prospect in Texas according to our State Rankings, Bryant plays for George Ranch High School and HJV 17 Elite. She's a phenomenal offensive player, who makes the most of her height and length at the net, but has also developed other aspects of her offense over the years. Bryant has improved her decision-making and consistency and also offers a lot in terms of versatility, being able to score from the right and the middle back positions as well. A solid blocker, she's been steadily improving her passing and defensive skills too.      The explosive Warren carries a huge offensive load for both her high school team Fulshear and her club side [program_tooltip program_id='510661' first='Houston' last='Skyline'] 17 Royal - she ranks tenth among the outside hitters and 17th overall. She's incredibly athletic and that is reflected in how she moves on the court and how she jumps to swing or block at the net. Besides making contact with the ball at a very high point, Warren also has an amazingly fast and heavy arm, which gives her every option when she goes up to swing. The outside hitter has many great strides with her passing over the years, getting more confident with that skill.      An excellent all-around prospect, Jackson appears in 11th place among the outside hitters and 20th overall in our State Rankings - she's part of Flower Mound's high school team and has last played club for TAV 18 Black. Committed to playing beach volleyball at the University of Texas, she is very strong in every aspect of the game and manged to have an important role with her club team even playing two age groups up. Jackson's outstanding ball control and reading of the game make of her a difference-maker on the backcourt and she's also very productive at the net, combining power and precision in her offensive actions.    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFGaUBUJSNA </div></figure>    A stud for both her high school team Dripping Springs and her club side Austin Skyline 17 Royal, Certain ranks 21st among the outside hitters and 47th overall in Texas. Few players combine physical and technical tools in the way she does, making of her a special talent in the position. Certain is extremely productive offensively, doing an excellent job of finding gaps on the block and sending the ball right there with tremendous power - she also has a very high success rate in out-of-system plays. The outside hitter also delivers her passes with consistency and precision and makes an impact with her blocking.        A part of Crowley's high school team and NRG 17U AMPD White, Nails has made it to our State Rankings Watchlist. She's a solid offensive weapon for her teams with her ability to find great locations for her shots - she is even more productive when hitting a quicker, shorter set at the pin. Nails also has excellent ball control and is very efficient with her passing and defense.
