<p>Moving right along with our Vegas Preview series, we hit the 17 Freedom division, who finish third in their respective regional championships. Here are five players from "the region" who look to represent Indiana well in July.</p>

<p>From the first whistle, it would seem that this team is undersized and under experienced. If anything, this squad is better as a whole than the individuals within it, and they play seamlessly together quite well. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='403853' first='Maria' last='Otero'] ('25, 5-8 S, Boone Grove, IU Columbus commit)</strong> is an absolute steal for the new NAIA program she's committed to. Quick on her feet, fast and accurate hands, and defending her position well, Maria should make an immediate impact upon arrival in the fall of '25. Most of her offense goes through <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='509315' first='Brooke' last='Cawthon'] ('25, 5-10 OH, Hobart) </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='512074' first='Alexis' last='Lehew'] ('25, 5-9 Pin, Portage).</strong> Brooke's length and ability to hit high and hard over blocks is her calling card, while Alexis has the athleticism to pretty much play anywhere in the front row. The defending duo of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='512163' first='Mary' last='Osten'] ('25, 5-4 DS/L, Portage) </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='546322' first='Margaret' last='Mance'] ('25, 5-4 DS/L, Crown Point)</strong> can each easily lock down the libero position at the next level. Both are smooth and in control, all while having active feet and constantly being around the ball for the first contact.</p>
