The Class of 2027 has a lot of talent that have been doing big things on the national scene during the club season.

While some of them still have yet to get a chance to shine on the prep level, those days are soon approaching with the 2024 season not far off.

We have 20 players ranked in the Class of 2027, but the Watch List is full of players that could go on to reach the next level.

Here's a look at a handful of those Watch List players and what they are bringing to the court.

Players listed alphabetically

[player_tooltip player_id='523865' first='Kate' last='Belt'], S/RS Valley Lutheran/Five:1

Belt is listed at 5'9”, but she does a good job of being a big presence at the net with her ability to turn on the ball herself. As a setter, Belt pushes a good pace and has developed a nice connection with her middles. When on the attack, Belt does a good job of playing a deceptive shot behind her back that leaves blockers flat-footed.

[player_tooltip player_id='490379' first='Sophia' last='Berger'], OH GRCC/MVA

Berger is a hitter showing a lot of growth. The 5'11” outside has a fundamentally sound swing and she does a good job of spreading the ball around. However, she's been particularly strong at playing tight shots along the left boundary and doing so with a lot of velocity. Berger has raised her game a lot over the club season and should be a nice asset for GRCC this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='442999' first='Olivia' last='Berishaj'], MH Eisenhower/Legacy

Berishaj has been part of the Legacy 15-1 ADIDAS squad that won an AAU national championship and is competing for a top finish at the USAV Nationals this week. She's come through with a lot of timely kills, and also some impressive defensive plays. Berishaj isn't one to shy away from playing at a fast pace and she has a lot of aggression in her swing. Her blocking instincts have improved a lot as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='454359' first='Elise' last='Biermann'], OH Eisenhower/Michigan Elite

Another young talent from the Eisenhower program, the 5'10” Biermann has shown she can put away shots from anywhere on the floor. This club season has been a big one for her in terms of growing her confidence. Her mixture of power and finesse has put her on the upper tier of hitters in this loaded class. She also brings one of the stronger serves in the group.

[player_tooltip player_id='454361' first='Sophie' last='Bohl'], MH Saline/Michigan Elite

Bohl is a 6-foot middle prospect that has a big wingspan. Her size and length allow her to play above blockers and adjust at the net to finish points at a high rate. Bohl doesn't seem to have to use much energy to generate a powerful swing, which allows her to play at a high level throughout a match. As she gets more opportunities to play at a higher rate, it should bring out new facets of her game.

[player_tooltip player_id='442991' first='Leah' last='Bongiovanni'], OH Marian/Michigan Elite

A 6-foot outside that can play both pins, Bongiovanni shows a lot of room for growth from an already solid foundation. This club season, she has shown good court awareness to put away points with power and with offspeed shots. She is able to adjust last second to find a home for her attack. Her power swings are also getting stronger and coming down at sharper angles.

[player_tooltip player_id='523833' first='Tessa' last='Boomhour'], MH Dexter/L2

The Dexter freshman had a big fall season in 2023, proving to be one of the leading blockers in the state for the class. The 6-footer is in line for an even bigger 2024 after showing some improvement as a player this club season with L2. Boomhour can play well above the net. Her quickness and athleticism make for a lethal combination defensively, as she can disrupt a lot of hitters' rhythm. As an offensive threat, she's making a lot of strides in her finishing rate and consistency.

[player_tooltip player_id='490377' first='Coco' last='Bossardet'], OH/MH East Grand Rapids

A 6-footer that can play anywhere along the net, Bossardet has shown this club season that she can be a big threat for EGR in the fall. She does a good job of climbing the ladder and high-pointing the ball on her attacks, which allows her to stay above the blockers. She covers a lot of ground in her approach to the net, and she stays very active at the net to win the 50-50 battles.
