The Class of 2027 has a lot of talent that have been doing big things on the national scene during the club season.

While some of them still have yet to get a chance to shine on the prep level, those days are soon approaching with the 2024 season not far off.

We have 20 players ranked in the Class of 2027, but the Watch List is full of players that could go on to reach the next level.

Here's a look at a handful of those Watch List players and what they are bringing to the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='442986' first='Karly' last='Harrison'], OH/DS Romeo/Monsters

A strong defensive player, Harrison has gotten an opportunity to be a consistent hitter on the outside for Monsters this club season. She shows promise on the pins, as she has a good approach to the net and good technique on her swing. Harrison is still developing her power, but that should come as she gets more clean looks. Her defensive play is already at a high level, so that shouldn't drop off as she adds more focus to her offensive play.

[player_tooltip player_id='454377' first='Erica' last='Heffner'], OH/DS TC Central/Northshore

Another hitter that can excel in the back row, Heffner has shown the ability to make a difference in multiple ways. She moves well around the court and stays locked in for each point. She's got a smooth swing at the net and is consistent in her ability to put good velocity on the ball. One strength Heffner has shown is her composure, which allows her to come through with a big dig or kill in a pressure spot.

[player_tooltip player_id='454364' first='Maiya' last='Heinemann'], OH Saline/L2

Heinemann isn't afraid to be aggressive at the net and she has the ability to put a good swing on the ball from anywhere on the court. Heinemann likes to challenge the boundaries and test the blockers when she's making an attack. She's got the power and speed to succeed at doing that consistently. In the back row, Heinemann is also able to score and give defenders a challenging ball to play.

[player_tooltip player_id='490037' first='Hadley' last='Humphrey'], S TC Central/Northshore

A 2027 prospect that plays up an age level during club season, Humphrey is a setter that could be a breakout candidate in the years ahead. Her growth has been coming at a rapid pace, as she's been forced to raise her game to meet her elder teammates at the club level. That should help with her leadership skills and confidence coming into the fall. Humphrey makes accurate feeds and has been particularly strong with her middles. She can push a tempo that not many setters at this age level can.

[player_tooltip player_id='487784' first='Jillian' last='Jackson'], MH Orchard Lake St. Mary's/High Performance

Jackson is a middle that can also play on the right side. At either spot, she uses her awareness and court IQ to score consistently. Jackson relies a bit more on offspeed plays and adjustments at the net, which makes it tough for blockers to get a feel for her timing. The key for Jackson going forward will be to tap into her power game more often and find the right balance for arsenal.

[player_tooltip player_id='523868' first='Bella' last='Jamison'], OH Powers Catholic/Five:1

Jamison has consistent form on her swing, both at the net and from the back row. She takes a good approach to each attack and stays focused on the ball. There's room for her to improve on her speed and instincts, but she's already got good power and is able to push her attacks to the back row. The foundation is there, now Jamison just needs to keep adding new levels to her play.

[player_tooltip player_id='523872' first='Anika' last='Jaroszewski'], DS/L Novi Christian/Michigan Elite

There's a lot to like about Jaroszewski as a defender. She always looks very determined on the floor and it shows in her play. Her serve receive is very consistent and she passes at a high rate. When taking on big swings, she has an uncanny ability to compact her body to get very low to the floor and still provide a clean feed to the setter. She also backs up her hitters well and moves very fluently throughout the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='486269' first='Brooke' last='Johnson'], RS FH Northern/FaR Out

Johnson looks very comfortable and confident as a right side. She does a good job of playing off the blockers to end points. Her swing is upright, but that allows her to get to the ball at a high point. Her attack angles are consistently sharp as well. Johnson has a lot of athleticism, so she's able to transition well from defense to offense and back.

[player_tooltip player_id='523859' first='Avery' last='Jones'], MH FH Eastern

Jones is a bit of a raw player, but she has a high ceiling. She's a 6-foot middle with a long wingspan. Defensively, she already has shown the ability to disrupt an opposing offense. Jones gets her hands in the way of a lot of attacks. As a hitter, she doesn't need much space or time to put down a physical swing. She's still getting a feel for her footwork and tempo, but as she develops that, Jones is going to be a very difficult middle to deal with.
