The talent brewing in this year's showcase is shaping up to be top notch! We got a preview of a few of the 'bros and setters joining all the fun at UWM on August 3rd. Take a look below!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='490335' first='Makayla' last='Bruman'] - Imlay City</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This player has been one of the premier setters in the MHSAA Division II space for quite some time. [player_tooltip player_id='490335' first='Makayla' last='Bruman'] is coming off of a huge sophomore season with Imlay City earning All-State honors. This multi-sport athlete is rounding into her junior year with a lot of potential.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='471313' first='Nellie' last='Alves'] - Novi/L2</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Talk about someone finding their stride at the right time. [player_tooltip player_id='471313' first='Nellie' last='Alves'] has been curating some chatter around her all season long and then came out big at AAU Nationals a few weeks ago. This six rotation setter, opposite hybrid plays the complete game at a high level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='226936' first='Lexie' last='Stotenbur'] - Forest Hills Northern/FaR Out</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='226936' first='Lexie' last='Stotenbur'] maybe had one of the best sophomore seasons in the state. After being thrown into the setting role at Forest Hills Northern, Stotenbur delivered big time. Leading the Huskies all the way to the state championship match, she then followed up with an excited club season with FaR Out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='490026' first='Allison' last='Rutledge'] - Lapeer/Michigan Elite</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This player has fallen a bit under the radar, but upon catching her in action at AAU Nationals, [player_tooltip player_id='490026' first='Allison' last='Rutledge'] is a setter to definitely keep an eye on. Rutledge brings a lot of size to the setting position and is beginning to find her groove at a consistent level when running the offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='535359' first='Delaney' last='Fillman'] - Salem/Michigan Elite</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While listed as a DS/L, [player_tooltip player_id='535359' first='Delaney' last='Fillman'] could really slot in wonderfully at any position. I have seen this player take big swings from about everywhere on the court and play serious defense. Fillmam brings a lot of passion to the court and it makes her a lot of fun to watch.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='490029' first='Amina' last='Baszile'] - Renaissance/Michigan Elite</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Much like Fillman, [player_tooltip player_id='490029' first='Amina' last='Baszile'] can easily slide into many different positions on the court. Her bread and butter however is her back row play! Baszile plays with a lot of speed and can cover a lot of ground!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='470701' first='Zoey' last='Kapeller'] - Orchard Lake St. Mary/High Performance</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is an exciting defensive player. A highlight from our last stock up showcase, [player_tooltip player_id='470701' first='Zoey' last='Kapeller'] is coming off of a nice season with High Performance as their main libero. She does a lot of nice things on the court and plays with a wide range.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
