The best of the best were on full display at the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships. The prestigious tourney was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Many players stood out to me for various reasons and this series of articles is going to shout out all of them that made me take notice of their individual play. Let's take a look at who showed up and showed out while I watched them ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='201502' first='Morgan' last='Collier'] [2025] 6-0 Middle (HS: Joshua/Club: APV/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Morgan is currently ranked as the 55th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Joshua High School and also plays for the Athletic Performance VB club program. We have covered this young lady for the past few years now and it has been a true joy to watch her grow as a player and person in the sport. She is a highly coveted middle who is going to make a serious impact at someone's program very soon. I went to watch her play during a tough match that could have gone either way. Both squads were dropping bombs on each other and this showed me who Mo truly is. She is a highly competitive/high motor baller who is also a skilled scorer and blocker. There was one sequence where she blocked three attackers in one rally, which had everyone in awe. The timing that she uses to shut down attackers is absolutely phenomenal. She is able to reach well over the net at just the right time to seal it away and stuff block opposing attackers. Her attacks were fast and furious as she got up super fast and unleashed fury on her opponent's defense. I understand she has a few offers and whoever she picks will love the type of player she is. I have loved watching her over the years and think she is only starting to realize her potential on the volleyball court. If you haven't watched her play, I strongly suggest you take a look and get your popcorn ready to watch the show!

[player_tooltip player_id='320954' first='Kylie' last='Kleckner'] [2026] 6-0 Outside (HS: Byron Nelson/Club: TAV/Verbal: University of Washington)

Kylie is currently ranked as the 30th best overall prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Byron Nelson High School and club for the famed [program_tooltip program_id='431308' first='Texas' last='Advantage'] Volleyball program. Her entire team is stacked with talent and when I watched them play one match on day three, Kylie was on FIRE from the left side. Multiple times throughout the match she throttled the ball to different zones of the opposing side for a score. I witnessed some picture perfect approaches from her as she got up high above the net to attack. You can tell when an athlete is in the zone and that is exactly what I saw from her as she was playing very well from the front row and back row. Numerous times she was called on to end a long rally and she was up to the task. The pace of the ball as it came off of her hand from the down swing was electric. Recently she just committed to playing volleyball at the University of Washington and they are getting a really good one. From what I saw from her at nationals, she will be ready to be an immediate impact player for them in a few years. Until then, we will love covering her progress. If it is anything like what I saw a few weeks ago, we are in for a great show.

[player_tooltip player_id='535907' first='Payton' last='Ortega'] [2026] 5-10 Right Side (HS: Salado/Club: Texas Fury/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Payton is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but will definitely be added to our official Watch List and could be ranked with what I have seen from her this season. She plays volleyball at Salado High School and also for the Texas Fury club program. Miss Ortega caught my eye at the Lone Star Classic National Qualifier with her exploits at the net and I was eager to watch her compete against the best in the nation in Vegas. I was thoroughly impressed with her ability to get off of the ground so quickly on the right side. She is a very gifted leaper who can pound the ball with tons of power from both pins. As an opposite, she provides a very lethal attack that most teams aren't used to seeing from that pin. Her squad likes to find her often and from what I saw in person, there is a great reason why. This kid can flat out score the ball with the best in the nation. I think she has tons of potential and will be able to play at the next level in a few years. Texas Fury played her all the way around and that will definitely help her game grow to being a full-time six rotation player no matter which side of the court. Her athleticism is off the charts and I strongly encourage every college coach to give her a look. You will not be disappointed in what you see.

Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes. If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at Michael@prepdig.com. Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends. Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook. Thanks for following Prep Dig Family!
