The Class of 2027 was the most represented during Sunday's Michigan Stock Up Showcase in Pontiac.

It was a talented group, full of a lot of hungry players that wanted to leave a lasting impression.

We will be going through all the prospects throughout the week with a series of player evaluations.

Let's keep things going with a collection of players in Part 2.

[player_tooltip player_id='486863' first='Lindsey' last='Schwegman'], S/RS Orchard Lake St. Mary's/High Performance

[player_tooltip player_id='486863' first='Lindsey' last='Schwegman']

A saavy player that showed good leadership skills, Schwegman made a lot of nice choices during the showcase. She had a good feel for when to call her own number and also was able to improvise some good swings when her group was out-of-system. She seems comfortable in a lead role and communicated well with her peers.

[player_tooltip player_id='471313' first='Nellie' last='Alves'], S/RS Novi/L2

Alves is a prospect that looks to have a very high ceiling. As a 6-foot setter that can also shift to the right side, she brings a lot of good qualities to the court. She doesn't need much time or space to make a play, as everything seems to come naturally to her. She spreads the ball out well throughout her offense, allowing them to be unpredictable.

[player_tooltip player_id='442228' first='Avery' last='Thorp'], MH Plainwell/FaR Out

This was a big opportunity for Thorp to show why she's among the top middles in this talented class. The 6'1” Thorp didn't disappoint. She was a persistent blocker that was able to slow down a lot of powerful hitters on Sunday. As a hitter herself, she had quick timing and could generate a lot of velocity. An underrated aspect of her play was she showed some impressive defensive skills outside of her blocking. She had some smooth passes and first contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='459740' first='Aubrey' last='Reynolds'], OH Caledonia/MVA

Caledonia is home to some talented hitters and Reynolds is certainly part of that group. She had a major impact during her freshman season and was generating buzz coming into the showcase. Though listed at only 5'9”, Reynolds was really imposing at the net. She covered a lot of space with her ability to get off the floor and utilize her wingspan. She's got an athletic swing that gets a lot of torque and leads to a lot of powerful follow throughs.

[player_tooltip player_id='486269' first='Brooke' last='Johnson'], OH FH Northern/FaR Out

[player_tooltip player_id='486269' first='Brooke' last='Johnson']

Another 6-foot hitter coming out of the Grand Rapids area, Johnson can play at either pin and should be getting a lot of opportunities to show her talents this fall with the Huskies. Johnson has a good knack for working shots off blockers to finish points. She has an upright swing, but that just allows her to attack from a high point in the set. She isn't afraid to be aggressive in her attack angles and her defense shows promise.

Lejai Standifer, S/DS River Rouge/Woodbridge Legacy

Standifer had a tough task as a 5-foot setter and defender going up against a lot of explosive giants in this showcase. At times she looked a bit overwhelmed, but she remained persistent and showed good heart to keep fighting for every play she could make. She looks a bit green as a setter, but she showed improvement throughout the showcase and took instruction well. Her defensive play was a strength, as she kept low to the ground and kept her eyes locked in.

[player_tooltip player_id='490373' first='Kate' last='Colosky'], MH Portage Central/FaR Out

Colosky displayed a lot of athleticism. The 6-foot middle plays well above the net and comes down with a powerful follow through on her swing. She showed a lot of consistency in her ability to power through blockers and deliver a good pop on her attacks. Defensively, Colosky puts in a lot of effort to disrupt as many attacks as possible. She's going to be a real force in the upcoming years.

[player_tooltip player_id='536393' first='Berklee' last='Stimson'], S Davison/Five:1

Stimson was a steady player throughout the showcase. Her sets were consistent and she was able to locate the ball well while adjusting to the rotation of new hitters. She also displayed good awareness of when to call her own number. Defensively, Stimson put forth a lot of effort as well. She made some tough plays just through her hustle, alone.

[player_tooltip player_id='454393' first='Ryley' last='Pastuschyn'], OH Richmond/Michigan Elite

She's been having success as a middle but is sliding to the pins where she can play on either end. She had her knee taped up during the showcase, but that didn't stop her from jumping out of the building often. She's got a lot of takeoff ability at the net and it leads her to powering through blockers with a violent swing. Defensively, Pastuschyn showed a lot of heart and hustle, along with a desire to get better.
