Lafayette would win its eight state titles in 11 appearances in the final four by getting the sweep over Francis Howell. The Titans from Lee's Summit West held off Kickapoo in a 5-set slugfest. The largest class in Missouri produces a ton of D1 talent, and the five players below are on that path.

[player_tooltip player_id='475339' first='Shaye' last='Witherspoon'] – 6'3" – Opposite – Lafayette

Shaye is hands down the best 2027 attacker returning in Class 5 after putting down 252 kills for the defending Class 5 [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']house. She has all the tools to become a big-time D1 recruit. Height, [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last=''], volleyball IQ, and overall skill set are needed to develop into one of the greats from Lafayette.

[player_tooltip player_id='485573' first='Camryn' last='Minatee'] – 5'8" – Outside – North Kansas City

The high-flying outside for the Hornets is no joke. Camryn is a fluid six-rotation hitter who was pushed into the spotlight and shined. She flies through the air and looks for the open spots to exploit a team's defense. Please watch closely for her to become a deadly cannon for the youthful Hornets.

[player_tooltip player_id='485610' first='Riley' last='Martin'] – 5'7" – Outside – North Kansas City

What a duo the Hornets will have for three more years. Riley is another high-flying, ball-thumping left pin who has a considerable upside. She can do it all. With the 2027 class at NKC, they have an extremely bright future and, eventually, a state playoff run over the next couple of years.

[player_tooltip player_id='446328' first='Tori' last='Massengill'] – 6'1" – Outside – Lee's Summit West

This kid is going to be mean before she leaves West. She has the height needed for the next level and possesses the volleyball IQ to reach that level. Quick feet to the ball, great swing, and had an excellent season for KC [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']. She finished the season with 133 kills, and watch as that number will increase drastically this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='485586' first='Evelyn' last='Haarmann'] – 5'11" – Outside – Oakville

Every year, Oakville produces top-notch players, and Evelyn is in line to be in that group. She would finish the season with 219 kills and be one of the top passers on the team. Length, excellent footwork to close to the ball, and a wicked line shot make Evelyn a deadly force coming into the season.
