We just updated the 2025 Player Rankings as we get a new high school season underway.

This class is one of the best the state has ever seen and has a lot of future Division 1 stars.

Here's a look at one of the strongest positions in the class, the setters.

Current Top 5

1. [player_tooltip player_id='156295' first='Campbell' last='Flynn'], Mercy/Legacy

The Nebraska commit is arguably the top prospect in the Class of 2025 nationally. A 6'2” setter that can do it all, Flynn immediately propels the team she is on to another level. She's got one D1 title to her credit. Will a second be on the way?

2. [player_tooltip player_id='156293' first='Ella' last='Craggs'], Northville/Michigan Elite

Craggs would be on the top of many setter lists in other states. She's also in an elite class of performers. She's got big-match experience and always maintains a high level of composure. Craggs is an Illinois State commit and always has Northville as a top D1 contender.

3. [player_tooltip player_id='224597' first='Abby' last='Pickard'], Lakewood/FaR Out

Pickard has been able to give Lakewood whatever it needs. She can play anywhere on the floor, but excels as a setter. The Northern Kentucky commit has good size and athleticism for the position and her knowledge of other positions leads her to get the best out of her hitters.

4. [player_tooltip player_id='156298' first='Chloe' last='Giehtbrock'], Marian/L2

Giehtbrock bet on herself, converting from a hitter to a setter early in her high school career. It's paid off with a commitment to Arizona. This fall she will finally get to showcase her work as part of Marian, one of the top teams in the state. At 6'2” Giehtbrock brings a lot of intangibles to the position that others can't.

5. [player_tooltip player_id='443896' first='Sydney' last='Bates'], Portage Northern/Dead Frog

A 5'11” setter that is committed to the College of Charleston, Bates has been steadily improving her stock by elevating her hitters from Portage Northern. Bates plays with a lot of tempo and mixes up her locations well to keep opponents guessing.

Others To Watch

[player_tooltip player_id='288965' first='Lili' last='Smith'], Flushing/Legacy

Smith has been looking to break out from the pack and could be set to do so this fall. The Purdue-Fort Wayne commit has the size, speed and agility to be among the best. This prep season should be her chance to showcase her full scale of abilities.

[player_tooltip player_id='482161' first='Jordyn' last='Anderson'], Ludington/Inside Out

A 6'3” setter from Ludington, the Nebraska-Omaha commit is very imposing at the net. With her size and length, she's also able to move very well along the net and push a fast tempo. Opponents have to always guess whether she's going to turn on the ball herself as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='473954' first='Ava' last='Barnes'], Brown City/Legacy

One of the top setters in Division 3, Barnes has great command of the floor and makes a lot of high-IQ decisions from the position. An Indiana-Wesleyan commit, Barnes is able to push a pace that not many in D3 can contend with.

[player_tooltip player_id='224603' first='Anna' last='Rich'], Troy/L2

A Canisius commit, Rich stands 5'10” and also has the ability to play multiple positions for her team. She's got a lot of athleticism and she plays with a lot of determination and energy. She's making strides as a player each year.

[player_tooltip player_id='445361' first='Maddy' last='Kreider'], Kingsford/FC Elite

One of the shining stars of the Upper Peninsula, Kreider is a player that would likely be higher-ranked if she was in a high-profile area. Kreider plays with a lot of finesse and her execution is polished. She's definitely a difference-maker for her teams.
