[player_tooltip player_id='288948' first='Lexi' last='Armstrong'], Sr. L/DS Hudsonville

Armstrong has been doing a great job of leading the way for Hudsonville this season as the team works in new offensive pieces. This past weekend, she was all over the court, picking up 56 digs over eight sets, an average of 7 per match. Armstrong is already at 210 digs through 34 sets, going up against some of the top hitters in the state on a regular basis.

[player_tooltip player_id='226880' first='Chloe' last='Burns'], Jr. S Dexter

Dexter is off to a solid start in 2024 and added three more wins last week thanks to the play of the offensive general, Burns. The junior had 64 assists over seven sets in a quad sweep, averaging over 10 assists per match in two of the three wins. She's one of the assists leaders in the state thus far in 2024 with nearly 300 in 33 sets.

[player_tooltip player_id='226885' first='Allie' last='Davison'], Jr. S Marian

The Mustangs are running a two-setter system this season, but Davison is still leading the way in assists and helping Marian hit nearly .300 as a team. Last week she led Marian to three wins over competitive teams in Adams, Garber and Notre Dame Prep. She had 66 assists over seven sets, including 39 assists in a three-set win over NDP. Davison also had eight digs in that win.

[player_tooltip player_id='224272' first='Cambria' last='Gaier'], Sr. OH Caledonia

Gaier had a busy week with seven matches, but she stepped up in all of them and led Caledonia to some solid wins. Over the seven best-of-three matches, Gaier tallied 73 kills, 45 digs and 18 aces. On top of that, she hit .526 in a win over Forest Hills Northern and .571 in a win over Traverse City West. Gaier is definitely showing she's one of the top players in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='156343' first='Navea' last='Gauthier'], Sr. OH Shelby

The state's kill leader isn't slowing down any time soon. Last week she led Shelby to three solid wins while putting up 93 kills over nine sets. That included a 46-kill performance in a four-set win over Hart. Gauthier already has 213 kills over 22 sets and is hitting an amazing .485 in the process. She's quickly creeping up on 3,000 career kills as she looks to track down the MHSAA career record of 3,584 kills by Leland's Alisha Glass (2003-06).

[player_tooltip player_id='226896' first='Madison' last='Geer'], Jr. OH Frankenmuth

Ready to step into the spotlight, Geer made a big leap last week when she put together a 24-kill performance to lead Frankenmuth to a hard-fought, five-set, win over Birch Run. Geer showed the ability to put the ball away in a variety of ways, but also showed the endurance needed to be a standout six-rotation outside.

[player_tooltip player_id='261207' first='Sharayna' last='Luckie'], Sr. L/DS Lutheran North

Luckie has been working hard to improve on her play and it showed last week in a big four-set win over Royal Oak Shrine. Luckie put up 23 digs to carry Lutheran North to a four-set victory. She followed that up on Saturday with 41 digs over six matches, helping the Mustangs go 5-1. Luckie's serving has been a difference-maker as well. She had five aces in the win over Shrine and added 14 more on the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='472798' first='Cassidy' last='Pratley'], Sr. MH Harper Creek

Harper Creek had a huge week as it tries to establish itself as a team to beat in Division 2. The Beavers had two notable wins mid-week, sweeping Mattawan and Portage Northern. Pratley was a dominant force in both wins, racking up 34 kills over the six sets while hitting .440. She also added seven blocks and four aces in the wins. Pratley then propelled Harper Creek to six more wins on Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id='400329' first='Izzy' last='Sturtevant'], Sr. L/DS Mona Shores

Sturtevant recorded his 1,000th-career dig this past week. Her milestone was part of a pair of wins over West Ottawa and Zeeland East where she put together 30 digs in total. She followed up that play with a strong showing this weekend that helped Mona Shores add another four wins. The Sailors are looking like a formidable team in 2024, led by the play of their veteran defender.
