Boykin set a new school-record for blocks in a match, when she had nine against Lansing Catholic last week. Boykin has landed herself among the state leaders in blocks this season, putting up 40 so far in the young season. She's also among the hitting leaders for Portland and consistently is putting down impressive kills.

[player_tooltip player_id='472798' first='Cassidy' last='Pratley'], Sr. MH Harper Creek

[player_tooltip player_id='706598' first='Soniah' last='Robinson'], Jr. OH Woodhaven

Robinson is on a hot streak for Woodhaven and it came in some impressive performances last week. She tallied 18 kills against Carlson and 11 kills against Allen Park. She also was coming off a 16-kill performance against Edsel Ford as well. Robinson shows a lot of patience at the net, but still puts a strong attack on the ball no matter where she's at.

[player_tooltip player_id='551470' first='Jadyn' last='Samson'], Jr. L/DS Mendon

Samson has been the defensive leader for Mendon for multiple seasons. Last week, she hit a milestone with her 1,000th career dig. She's been racking up digs by the bunches for years and will continue to do so in the weeks ahead. Samson is always in good position and capable of coming through with a game-changing play.

[player_tooltip player_id='569772' first='Lauren' last='Sheldon'], Fr. OH Stoney Creek

Last week, she had 31 kills over seven sets against Adams and Lake Orion, going toe-to-toe with some impressive hitters. She also had a 20-kill performance the week prior against Walled Lake Northern. Sheldon is stepping up in a big way and looks to have a high ceiling.
