2027 Fall Rankings Update: Top Setters

She plays with great intensity and gets a lot of energy out of her teammates. As a setter, Smith has great instincts and vision. But, her all-around play makes her one of the top prospects in this entire class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>2. [player_tooltip player_id='454358' first='Lily' last='Tripi'], Eisenhower/Michigan Elite</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tripi is a 6'1” setter/hitter combo that is in the midst of a breakout run. She's finding a new stride in her game, pushing the Eisenhower offense to a fast tempo. She's also been an imposing force with her blocking, and can turn on the ball herself offensively to create a highlight-reel finish.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>3. [player_tooltip player_id='442971' first='Brenna' last='Mirovsky'], Oxford/Michigan Elite</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mirovsky is another high-energy setter that helps fuel the rest of her squad. Along with being a precision setter, Mirovsky is also a standout defender that can turn the tide of a match with her ability to dig up a big attack.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>4. [player_tooltip player_id='471313' first='Nellie' last='Alves'], Novi/L2</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A 6-foot setter with a lot of promise, Alves is able to impact the game in many ways. She runs a smooth offense and can hit all the locations, but also reads the defense well and knows when to take a swing herself. She's a solid blocking force that also makes some tough digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>5. [player_tooltip player_id='442969' first='Avery' last='Stepp'], South Lyon East/Legacy</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stepp gets to work with a lot of size at South Lyon East and she's coming into her own as a setter. Her timing with her middles is getting better, but she can play a nice ball to the pins and the back row. Stepp also has an aggressive serve that poses a challenge for opposing passers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
