<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school season is well underway and there has been some exciting action so far.&nbsp; Who has what it takes to win the coveted State Championship?&nbsp; California is one of the best states in the nation when it comes to this wonderful sport and we are here to highlight all of our amazing teams and players.&nbsp; Let's meet a few of the teams and players who are poised for a solid run this season.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Marin Catholic Wildcats</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While most sports enthusiasts will agree that having senior-led experienced teams is one of the best things a coach can have, sometimes all you need is a gun-slinging youngster who is not afraid of the spotlight.&nbsp; Fantastic freshman Carolina Delaney is a true superstar who will not be denied for the Wildcats.&nbsp; She has been killing it from the pins and is poised to have a wonderful high school career.&nbsp; While everyone will be enamored with her six foot two frame, volleyball purists will like how she can do it all on the court with ease.&nbsp; This comes from her awesome club coaches and amazing beach volleyball action she also enjoys.&nbsp; It keeps her very well rounded and explosive in every aspect.&nbsp; Krystal Rose Huff is a tall and strong pin who has the power to go through any block.&nbsp; The talented lefty can reach very high and move very well on the court from the opposite position.&nbsp; Junior middle blocker [player_tooltip player_id='542473' first='Chloe' last='Allcroft'] is a high flier who is a member of the famed ten foot club, meaning she can touch ten feet in the air with her approach jump.&nbsp; Her long arms will give anyone fits as she contacts the ball at the true peak of her reach.&nbsp; She is a load to handle out of the middle and opposing middles better be timing her correctly, otherwise she will make them pay.&nbsp; Setter Rania Brody leads this army into battle and is extremely quick around the court.&nbsp; Her court savvy can be seen as she scores on very sneaky setter dumps.&nbsp; I love the way she is able to push the ball to both pins when out of system.&nbsp; Super sophomore libero Sierra&nbsp; Elllison runs the back row for this squad.&nbsp; She also is a stud at beach volleyball and it has helped her footwork all around the court.&nbsp; This team is proving to be a force in Cali and should be watched moving forward.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Thousand Oaks Lancers</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This sensational squad only has one defeat this year and they have been very impressive.&nbsp; They are led by junior outside hitter London Halvorsen.&nbsp; The lengthy pin is a hard out for anyone.&nbsp; It doesn't matter which pin she is hitting from as she contacts the ball extremely well with her entire hand and can control it very well.&nbsp; Her last second whip of a wrist snap adds so much pop into the attack and it can tool the block really well.&nbsp; Her younger sister, freshman middle [player_tooltip player_id='537526' first='Saylor' last='Halvorsen'] is making a big name for herself already at this early part of the season.&nbsp; The six foot one phenom could easily be one of the best players to play at Thousand Oaks if she continues at her current pace.&nbsp; She uses every part of her muscles to get up quickly off of the ground and throttles the ball like she is a seasoned senior.&nbsp; She is able to play middle and outside if need be at a very high level.&nbsp; Junior outside hitter Leah Curtin is another solid attacking option for this wonderful team.&nbsp; Senior opposite Addison Evans has proven to be a weapon when used this year.&nbsp; Junior setter Hailey Lauritzen and senior setter [player_tooltip player_id='538046' first='Reagan' last='Maguire'] are two capable drivers who will keep this team in every match with their hands.&nbsp; We will be watching them closely and hope they can keep up their winning ways for the rest of the season.&nbsp; Stay tuned for more soon.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As always stay tuned for more articles on your favorite teams and athletes.&nbsp; If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at <a href="mailto:Michael@prepdig.com">Michael@prepdig.com</a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends.&nbsp; Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook.&nbsp; Thanks for following us, Prep Dig Cali Family!&nbsp; Don't be afraid to interact with us.&nbsp; We love the likes, shares, and quotes/comments.&nbsp; Keep them coming!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
