Teams from around the state meet up in the Rockwood Tournament hosted by Lafayette, Eureka, and Marquette High schools. With some of the top 26 Missouri schools and St. James Academy from Kansas playing this weekend, the tournament will be crawling with D1 talent. Here's a list of players I can't wait to see play.

Hannah Williams – 5'11” – Outside – Kickapoo

Hannah has long waited to shine for the Chiefs and is taking full advantage of the opportunity. A six-rotation outside is one to watch this weekend. She's leading the team in kills with 83.

[player_tooltip player_id='732904' first='Jordan' last='Redd'] – 6'2” – Opposite – St. Michael

The opposite has been on a tear in the last two matches, collecting 20 kills combined in the two wins. Jordan is a strong player who will keep improving under a legendary coach for the Guardians. Please pay close attention to her growth over the next couple of seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='490209' first='Gwen' last='Kubik'] – 6'1” – Middle – Nixa

Kubik had a big first season with Nixa last season, and her role this season will be much more significant. She can play any position along the front row—a very athletic player who gives the Eagles a big outlet on either pin.

[player_tooltip player_id='357615' first='Piper' last='Bahr'] – 5'11” – Outside – Lee's Summit North

I'm excited to watch the Broncos play because they have several players talented young players. Piper leads by example and carries the team offensively and defensively with 31 kills and 22 digs, leading her team in both categories.

[player_tooltip player_id='475325' first='Leah' last='Heisler'] – 5'8” – Outside – Jefferson City

Leah came in late last year as a freshman and helped the Jays to the final four. For an encore, she leads her team in kills with 52, putting up 21 and 19 against Nixa and Kickapoo, respectively.

Isabella Sohl – 5'10” – Setter – Rock Bridge

I watched Izzy play the summer before her first year at a summer camp and was impressed. She's smooth with the ball, plays defense exceptionally well, and has excellent court awareness. Izzy runs the show for the Bruins.
