<p>Who is proving on the court that they are the best of the best in their position? Some say that numbers do not lie and we have the numbers that are being reported by coaches across the state. California is one of the best states in the nation when it comes to this wonderful sport and we are here to highlight all of our amazing players. Let's meet a few of the players who are killing it on the court!</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='478935' first='Leila' last='Ballard'] [2025] 5-10 Outside (HS: Saugus/Club: Legacy VBC/Verbal: Northern Colorado)</strong></p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->

<p>Leila is currently ranked as the 59th best overall prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays for Saugus High School and plays club for the Legacy Girls Elite volleyball club program. Miss Ballard caught our attention a few years ago with her astronomical attacking numbers during her school season and we have been watching ever since. This year is no different as she has continued her assault on everyone who steps on her court. Currently the kill leader for California seniors with 335 total in 62 sets played. When you watch her attack the ball, you see some very athletic moves and attention to detail. While not being over six feet tall, unlike others in the position, Miss Ballard has to rely on her explosiveness and timing in order to attack at a high level. When she is in the air, she knows exactly what she is going to do with the ball and uses a ton of shots in order to score. I feel like I am in a doctor's office when I watch her hit because of all of the shots I see from her. She can tool the block out of bounds, hit hard through the seam, line, and also deep in the corner whenever she wants to. Her court vision in unmatched and that is why no one will be able to truly shut her down. Younger players should really watch her and study her play in order to understand what an all around attacker should look like. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='216056' first='Maylynn' last='Mitchell'] [2025] 5-10 Outside (HS: Orange Lutheran/Club: Tstreet/Verbal: Chaminade)</strong></p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Maylynn is currently ranked as the 14th best overall prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She is also listed as the 138th best player in our National Rankings. She plays at Orange Lutheran High School and will play her 18's year for Tstreet volleyball club. Miss Mitchell is very well known by us at Prep Dig because of her production over the last few years. As we cover the high school season, it is nice to see that she is still up to her usual scoring ways. Currently she has the second most kills in the state amongst senior attackers with 305 total in 57 sets played. When you watch May attack, you see some awesome power that cannot be denied. She uses every ounce of her frame to unleash fury on the ball. A very loud thunder can be heard throughout the gym when she contacts the ball and sometimes I feel sorry for the ball. It doesn't matter where Miss Mitchell is on the court, because she can score from all locations and that includes the back row. If there were a contest on pace of the ball off of a hitter's hand, the smart money would be on May to win 1st place. There is no doubt in my mind that she will be an immediate impact player at the next level when she steps foot on the Chaminade campus nest season. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='340126' first='Morgan' last='Graves'] [2025] 5-10 Outside (HS: Don Lugo/Club: Rancho Valley/Verbal: San Jose State)</strong></p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Morgan is currently ranked as the 27th best overall prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She stars on the outside for Don Lugo High School and plays club for Rancho Valley. Miss Graves has exploded this year for 302 kills in only 25 sets played. With an astonishing .623 hitting percentage. There is no doubt who is the go to player on her high school squad, but that isn't what is amazing to me. When an opposing team knows exactly who the ball is going to go to, sometimes it makes it even more difficult for that player to score because they will be keying on her. But it doesn't matter to Miss Graves, because she accepts the role that her teammates and coaches rely on her for and still gets the job done in a very convincing manner. Everything she does on the court is extremely explosive and that makes her very hard to stop. Even though she might not be over six feet tall, she plays very high above the net and has the speed in her footwork and arm swing to score on anyone at any time. It is so much fun to watch her compete because of her super high motor and fireworks that she brings to any team she is on. </p>
