Every touch carries context. Score, momentum, matchups, and trust all factor into the choices they make. For college coaches, this position reveals how an athlete processes the game under pressure and how consistently she can translate intention into execution. I feel like I've really grown in running a faster offense and being able to read the block to put my hitters in the best position to score. I take a lot of pride in being consistent and delivering hittable balls in system and out of system.   I also think my leadership stands out. I communicate a lot, bring energy every point, and make sure my teammates feel confident. It motivated me to keep pushing myself and improving. Social media has helped me connect with coaches and make my name more visible outside of just tournaments. I want coaches to see not just my skill set, but also my competitiveness and passion for the game.   🧠 What Coaches Should Know I want college coaches to know that I'm extremely coachable and competitive. I care a lot about improving, and I'm always asking for feedback because I genuinely want to get better. Off the court, I'm disciplined and take academics seriously. I value being a good teammate and a good person first. If a coach takes a chance on me, they're getting someone who will work hard every single day and represent their program the right way. I always put a lot of work into my online presence through my own Instagram account.   🧠 What Coaches Should Know I've spent my whole life growing up playing four-man at 16th St in Hermosa. I've grown to be so grateful for the volleyball community because of it. I love to cook, which I think opens up a lot of nutrition opportunities for me as a high-level athlete. I like to meal prep and eat good foods while being creative. I also think it's important for coaches to know that when I'm on the court, I am experienced and proficient in all skills, from blocking and attacking to serve receive and defense to setting and serving, not to mention my energy and leadership. I'm especially proud of my quick release because it helps me stay deceptive at the net, keep blockers guessing, and push balls out effectively to the pins. Because of that, I'm able to put up hittable balls in precise locations, whether I'm pushing tempo to the outside, running a quick in the middle, or setting out of system. I take pride in giving my hitters the best possible opportunity to score, and knowing I can consistently deliver a ball they can trust means a lot to me.   📲 Why This Post Mattered Being featured on PrepDig California meant a lot to me, especially because it was so unexpected at first. I was surprised when PrepDig first wrote an article about me during my 14's year at Red Rock Rave. I remember seeing the “Game Changing Setters and Playmakers” feature and feeling proud that my hard work was being noticed. It gave me confidence and motivation to keep improving, knowing that people were paying attention to the details of my game.   I've been really grateful for the coverage ever since. PrepDig has continuously supported my posts, which has helped expand my reach and visibility. That kind of exposure is huge in the recruiting process because it allows more coaches to see not just highlights, but consistency over time.   Most recently, PrepDig gave me very insightful advice on how to create posts specifically for recruiting and not just for social media attention. That really stood out to me. They emphasized the importance of details, even things like music choice, which I had never given much thought to before. That perspective helped me become more intentional and strategic about how I present myself online. Overall, their support and guidance have meant a lot to me, both as a player and as someone navigating the recruiting process.   🧠 What Coaches Should Know One thing I want college coaches to know about me is that I'm completely committed to doing whatever it takes to make my team better. As a setter, I understand that my role is about more than just putting up the ball. It's about leadership, communication, poise, and creating rhythm for the entire offense.   I'm very coachable and constantly looking for feedback because I truly want to grow. Whether it's improving my defense or court vision, I'm always working to elevate my game. I value team culture and bring energy, positivity, and accountability every day in the gym. This year, playing up in 14U, I have had the opportunity to enhance my speed and skills as a setter, as well as both my defense and offense in terms of hitting. I'm the type of player who stays loud, positive, and locked in because I know my teammates feed off that. As a setter, I take a lot of pride in running the offense, building confidence in my hitters, and staying calm in pressure moments.   I'm also proud of how disciplined I've become. I don't just rely on talent. I've been working outside of practice on strength, conditioning, and my mentality. I've been focused on being consistent, making smart decisions, and being the person my team can count on when the match gets tough. I'm grateful to be coached by leaders who trust me but also push me to evolve and think the game at a higher level. As a mixed athlete, being part Black is something I'm proud of, and I understand that representation in this sport matters. I want younger girls who look like me to see that they belong here too. That pushes me to work even harder and carry myself in a way that reflects both my culture and my commitment to this game.   🧠 What Coaches Should Know I want college coaches to know that I'm a high-energy, disciplined teammate who is willing to do whatever it takes to get better. I bring passion and leadership every time I step on the court, but I also understand that leadership isn't just being loud, it's being accountable, steady, and someone your team can trust in big moments. As a setter, I take pride in reading the game, making smart decisions, and putting my hitters in the best position to succeed.   I'm very coachable and I genuinely want feedback. If I make a mistake, I own it, adjust, and move forward. I don't get stuck, I focus on solutions. I hold myself to a high standard in everything I do. I currently maintain a 4.0 GPA while balancing club volleyball, travel, strength training, and school responsibilities. Managing all of that has taught me discipline, time management, and how to stay focused when things get busy. I try to lead by example in the classroom the same way I do on the court, encouraging my teammates to stay accountable and handle their responsibilities.   Off the court, my faith is a huge part of who I am. It keeps me grounded and focused, especially when I'm challenged. I took a big leap of faith leaving a club I had been with for years to start a new path with a new club, even though it meant more sacrifice and travel. I did that because I want to grow, and I'm committed to making these next years count. I'm hungry, coachable, and ready to earn my spot.
