The Playoffs have started, and I'm seeing more of the 2028s impacting the teams. The seven players on the list are the ones that I've watched make significant strides this season to become main contributors for teams. Whether finished with their first season or still chasing a title, these players will become big-time players over the next few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='729579' first='Remy' last='Stack'] – 5'7" – Outside – St. Joseph's Academy

The Angels have a rich history in volleyball, and when a freshman is starting a program like St. Joe's, you take notice. Remy hits on the left pin and gives St. Joe a solid outlet; where I think she contributes the most is the back row—an excellent passer and defender who gets after it on defense. A great vertical who's only played in 34 sets up till districts and played great in the semifinal win over Lutheran South.

Kylan Drury – 5'11" – Middle -Festus

Festus lost to St. Pius X in a sweep today. Kylan will be a big part of Festus' success over the next three years, and she ended her first season with 35 kills and 38 blocks. She is a tall 5'11" who takes up a lot of space upfront on her block. With more experience, her hitting will come around. I watched her in warmups, and she can thump the ball. Festus might be one year away from a playoff run, and Kylan should be a big part of that.

Maeble Wagner – 5'9" – Middle – Lutheran South

LS always has an undersized hitter that can jump out of the gym. Maeble stood tall against the bigger St. Joe hitters and made some big plays. She's a quick leaper with a solid vertical who will develop into a beast for South.

Claire Nelson – 5'7" – Outside – Lutheran South

Classmates getting to start their first year is exciting, and doing this playing for South is impressive. It is still raw and young, but Claire's potential to become a monster outside is theirs. She plays hard, has a big swing, and plays hard on defense. Claire will be a tremendous asset to the South.

[player_tooltip player_id='624662' first='Ries' last='Schnuck'] – 5'7" – Outside – John Burroughs

Ries is a tough outsider who has the hops and power to do big things while at Burroughs. She already has her team in the district finals and is 2nd with 245 kills. Next season, I hope she becomes a threat out of the back row because she can potentially be a terminator from anywhere on the court.

Izzy Chao – 5'10" – Outside – MICDS

Izzy is a huge part of the success this season with MICDS. In the district semifinal win over St. Charles West, Izzy hammered 17 kills, giving her team the 5-set win to move into the finals against Villa Duchesne. There are no final stats for the district championship match, but Coach Owens told me she came up with some big kills to help MICDS win the school's first district title in school history.

[player_tooltip player_id='730118' first='Maha' last='Devrapally'] – 5'6" – Outside – MICDS

When I watched Maha play, she had a shaky performance, but she's an excellent commitment to Izzy. She's quick, active on defense, and does a solid job in serve receive. Again, she is raw but has been a massive part in the success of MICDS. Maha has 137 kills and 262 digs, instrumental in the team's success.
