Breaking Down the Liberos in the Class of 2026

<p>Let's take a look at the liberos in this class. I have already broken down the <a href="https://prepdig.com/2024/10/breaking-down-the-setters-in-the-2026-ranking-update/">setters</a> and the <a href="https://prepdig.com/2024/10/breaking-down-the-outside-hitters-in-the-class-of-2026/">outside hitters</a>. The liberos in this class run deep, and only three currently have committed to play at the next level. I am sure there are numerous who are currently in the recruiting process, and it will be exciting to see where they continue their volleyball careers. Let's take a deep dive into our current commits, stock risers, names to know, and new additions. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Who is committed? </h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Cassidy recently committed to West Virginia, a program on the rise! She will join fellow Wisconsinite Maddy McGrath there, who has had a lot of success. Cassidy is the top libero in her class because of the amount of space she takes up in the back row. She is unstoppable and picks up nearly everything. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Riley is committed to UW-Green Bay, where her sister Kennedy is a sophomore. Riley is an absolute energizer on the court and a player who can provide a spark for her team from the service line, in serve receive, or on defense. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Natalie is committed to Michigan Tech, which has an all-around solid volleyball program with numerous athletes from Wisconsin. Natalie is very well-rounded as an athlete and commands the back court. She is a solid player who has a lot of potential and only continues to impress. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Stock Risers & New Additions </h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Siena is such a key aspect of every team she is on. She can play at the libero or DS position with ease. Her level-headed nature really sets her apart; she does not get flustered in tight matches. Siena shows up to compete and to provide the best first contact for her team. She is a great out-of-system setter as well and is really the whole package as a libero. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Abigail is a new addition to our rankings technically as she transferred to Wisconsin this year and is playing for DSHA. She is quick across the back line and both relentless and fearless on defense. Abigail makes some incredible plays and can keep even the toughest plays alive. She has great fundamentals and a gritty mentality on the court. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Olivia has such a confident presence on the court. She exploded onto my radar this summer at the Sizzle, and she only continues to dominate. Her communication on the court is superb, and she reacts quickly in coverage. She never misses a beat on the court and will do anything for her team to be successful. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Elaina commands the court when she is on it. She has no qualms about taking control of any court she is on, whether it is at a showcase or with her team she has played entire seasons with. Elaina can jump in and make a difference wherever she is. She has sound fundamentals and makes great contact with the ball. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Hailey is new to our list in this update. She has earned significant playing time this season and makes a huge impact for the Sabers. Hailey is the type of player who gets the job done in the backcourt. She makes good plays and is a consistent defensive force. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Names to Know</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Maddie reads the court very well. She has a high volleyball IQ and always seems to be one step ahead of her opponents. She makes incredible defensive plays and keeps her serve receive simple and efficient. Maddie balances the different aspects of the libero role incredibly well and is a natural leader on the court. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Gracie is an unstoppable force in the back row. She is another player who reads her opponents very well and works to anticipate the game. She is a high-level serve receiver and does all of the little things right. Her discipline is impressive and she is always ready in coverage. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Emy is a force to be reckoned with on the court. She is relentless in her pursuit of the ball and is a great leader. Her intangibles set her apart. Emy's physical play is impressive too, she has a great platform and makes the tough plays look easy. </p>    <p></p>
