Pleasant Hill (25-7) vs. Center (12-11-2)

Pleasant Hill is on their march to return to Cape heading into their match with Center. They are another team I saw live earlier this year and they have the pieces to win two more matches. I saw their last defeat in Kansas City and they have won 14 in a row. [player_tooltip player_id='219766' first='Riley' last='Hays'] and [player_tooltip player_id='488383' first='Miley' last='Layton'] lead the offense. These two teams faced off a couple of weeks back, a Chicks sweep. Margot Vanriette paces Center in numerous stats. Pleasant Hill advances.

Odessa (23-7) vs. Savannah (29-9-1)

Odessa has won nine of their last ten matches entering this sectional battle. Kali Adamec and [player_tooltip player_id='221012' first='Rylee' last='Adams'] have been steady for Odessa all season. Savannah reached the quarterfinals last year and hopes to return with one more win. [player_tooltip player_id='737606' first='Trinaty' last='Fansher'] has 382 kills on the season. Both teams are physical at the net and block well. This should be a good match with Savannah getting the win.

Sullivan (15-14-1) vs. Logan-Rogersville (18-15-2)

Sullivan and Logan-Rogersville played to a tie in tournament play this season. In that match, Ava Blakenship had a match-high 9 kills. L-R was dangerous behind the service line with 8 aces. Both teams had up-and-down seasons but have enough experience to get them to the quarterfinal round. If Sullivan can hold up in serve receive, they can pull out the win. In my opinion, Logan-Rogersville has played the schedule that prepares them for a deep run playing bigger schools. We will go with the Wildcats of L-R.

Mountain Grove (27-3-1) vs. Mt. Vernon (18-12-2)

The battle of the Mounts. Grove has racked up 27 wins this year. These two teams faced off in the sectional round last year with Mountain Grove winning. [player_tooltip player_id='170044' first='Raylee' last='Stenzel'] is approaching the 1000-kill mark. Not for her career, but for this season! Mt. Vernon has won 12 of their last 15 matches. [player_tooltip player_id='464561' first='Ziah' last='Schmutz'] leads the charge offensively for the Mountaineers. It will be a tall task to hold down Stenzel and I expect Mountain Grove to advance.
