Deep Diggers: Class Of 2027 Dig Leaders

So readers will also begin to get a feel this week for athletes who could play big roles in sub-state and state action.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='480398' first='Amyah' last='Werth']</strong>, 5'3”, DS/L, Hillsboro, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Werth is currently ranked No. 50 overall in the class of 2027 and is the second-ranked libero. She has collected 358 digs and 433 serve receptions in 52 sets played. The Trojans own a record of 17-7 and will be competing in Class 2A Regional 2. The two best records in that region currently belong to Inman (23-1) and Chase County (20-5).</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='483945' first='Macy' last='Karlin']</strong>, 5'6”, DS/L, Maranatha Christian Academy, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Karlin is currently ranked No. 69 overall in the class of 2027. She has recorded 261 digs and 248 serve receptions in 58 sets played. The Eagles have a record of 18-5 and are currently sitting atop the Class 2A Regional 1 standings. Maur Hill Prep (16-5) and Lyndon (16-6) could give the Eagles a run for that top spot heading into sub-state play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='734371' first='Brynn' last='Rebel']</strong>, 5'3”, DS/L, Thomas More Prep, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Revel is currently unranked. She has tallied 299 digs and 259 serve receptions in 55 sets played. The Monarchs own a record of 16-8 and currently reside in fourth place in Class 2A's Regional 4. Ellinwood (21-2), Sylvan-Lucas (21-5), and Oakley (15-4) have the three best records in the region.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='516253' first='Brianna' last='Paul']</strong>, 5'3”, DS/L, Circle, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Circle's Paul is currently ranked No. 56 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027. She is the fourth-highest-ranked libero by Prep Dig.  She has recorded 208 digs and 433 serve receptions in 53 sets played. The Thunderbirds have a record of 12-12 after 24 matches. Circle would be the No. 8 seed in Class 4A's western region if the season ended today. The top two teams out west in 4A are the Clay Center Tigers (18-2) and Andale Indians (22-3.)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kate Mchatton</strong>, 5'4”, DS/L, Andale, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Speaking of Andale, the Indians' libero is among the state leaders in digs. She has collected 195 digs and 288 serve receptions in 52 sets played. She is currently an unranked prospect. Andale will try to fight off Clearwater (17-3) and Rose Hill (15-8) to remain in the top two slots in the 4A Western Regional.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
