[player_tooltip player_id='152041' first='Presley' last='Stokes'] - Wellsville
Soon arriving at the end of a great high school career, Stokes is averaging 5.7 k/s for the Tigers, a similar level we've seen for a while. She has been a big factor for this program for four seasons as the 5'11 pin attacker has over 1,850 total kills for her career on a .439 efficiency over that span. If Stokes can get some consistent support from teammate Bella Popelriter and her 3.0 k/s average along with 5.4 assists and over 12 digs per match, Wellsville should compete well through the rest of this district round.

Ella Kalizewski - Norwalk
Just a sophomore, Kalizewski leads #2 seeded Norwalk offensively at 3.4 k/s. She is a well-rounded athlete that has been putting up some big numbers this season. She leads a young team that includes freshman middle [player_tooltip player_id='540465' first='Brooklyn' last='Cassidy'] at 2.1 k/s and junior Kelly Cuturic providing 4.8 digs per match. Norwalk opened the postseason with a victory over St. Peters and will next take on Danbury.

REGION 26

Balla Borgio - Calvert
Borgio leads #1 seeded Calvert, a program that has been able to sustain great competitive success for a while. Just a sophomore, Borgio is another prospect that has been making an immediate impact in her young career and will likely continue to shine going forward like some of Calvert's recent alums. She averages 3.2 k/s, combining with junior Emily Miller (2.9 k/s) to produce a good share of their offense this season. This may be the toughest region in Division II with a likely state champ coming out of these top teams that also include Mohawk and Loudon.

[player_tooltip player_id='227806' first='Biz' last='Klopp'] - Mohawk
Klopp is a prolific scorer and has led Mohawk to an unbeaten season as they are 22-0 overall. She provides a career best 5.8 k/s, which has seen her earn double-digit kills in all matches this season, including 35 kills in a single match earlier this month. At 6'1, Klopp uses her length well in her ability to get up and attack over most defenders in front of her. Expect her to keep bringing huge offense as the playoffs continue to ramp up.

[player_tooltip player_id='227829' first='Khloe' last='Trivoli'] - Tuscarawas Central Catholic
The 5'10 junior has increased her contributions this season as she has producing career best numbers. As the Saints are 17-5 overall, Trivoli averages 4.6 k/s on a .417 efficiency. She combines her athleticism with the ability to bring a big arm upon contact, while also showing good court awareness and smarts to move the ball around into open space to score with some touch and finesse. Defensively, she has a career average of 2.6 blocks per match. The Saints next take on Toronto to open up their postseason action.

REGION 28

[player_tooltip player_id='718912' first='Victoria' last='Mescher'] - Fort Loramie
The senior middle has seen an increase her volume of work in her final varsity season, which is paying dividends for Fort Loramie as they are 22-1 overall. Second on the team offensively at 3.1 k/s, Mescher is producing more in 2024 while improving her efficiency at .393 along with a 52% kill rate. Her connection with setter [player_tooltip player_id='572577' first='Jenna' last='Barhorst'] has been a big reason for Mescher's success as Barhost can run a varied offense that takes advantage of the tools this team has in the middle and at the pin. Another big option is the team-leading 3.8 k/s from senior pin [player_tooltip player_id='718902' first='Avery' last='Brandewie'], who, like Mescher, has elevated her level of impact from previous seasons. Her career high offense is significantly more effective and efficient and is balanced well by what she does defensively at nearly nine digs per match. The complement of the range and power off her arm to the work of Mescher and Barhorst is a big reason we could see Fort Loramie competing on the final weekend with good success.
