Top 2025 Uncommitted Kansas Athletes (Free Report)

In this article:
Prep Dig Kansas published updated rankings for the Class of 2025 this morning.
The rankings include 250 Sunflower State Athletes and feature 27 new players.
The top 53 athletes in the ranking have all verbally committed to play college volleyball which is an outstanding number that makes me swell with pride.
Here is a report featuring eight athletes who I believe are the top uncommitted athletes in Kansas.
We have not had a “FREE” report on Prep Dig Kansas in over a year, so we are a bit overdue. I chose to have this report not require paywall status in an attempt to get extra exposure for these gifted student-athletes.
College coaches, club coaches, athletes, and parents please understand that we are a pay site since we don't have advertising and pop-ups on our website, and the company must earn revenue to pay scouts. Please consider supporting the sport of volleyball, Kansas student-athletes, and Prep Network by getting a new subscription for yourself or as a gift. Use the Coupon Code Deckard30 to save 30 percent off a new subscription.
If I were coaching collegiately I would make every effort to offer these eight players and all I would be missing is a setter.

Klingenberg is ranked No. 54 overall. I called Rock Creek to confirm that she is still uncommitted and it sounds like she plans to announce her college choice of tonight in conjunction with the Mustangs celebrating Senior Night. She has recorded 296 kills in 61 sets played. I have no idea who she might be committing to, although I know a couple of local junior colleges have scouted her.

Buss is currently ranked No. 55 overall. Buss could be a late steal for programs still looking for a hitter. North's stats are not posted on Max Preps. Buss is also not very active on social media. North is having a solid season with a 16-4 record and currently projects to be the No. 2 seed in the Class 6A western sub-state. If Buss and the Indians qualify for the state tournament, hopefully, she will get more recruiting exposure by competing in Salina.

Rethman took a meteoric climb up the rankings this month. She is now ranked No. 56 overall after being ranked No. 128. She happened to have an impressive match for the Spartans against Hayden which I scouted. She is another prospect who would be more well-known if she played for a Kansas City school or perennial state power. She has recorded 171 kills in 55 sets. I enjoyed watching her play and feel she would be a solid addition to an NAIA or JUCO roster.

Canady is currently ranked No. 57 overall. I have seen her play plenty of times in the past couple of years at the club level and caught her for the first time playing on her prep team. She has 98 kills and 23 teams for Valley Center. She is not the primary attacking weapon for the Hornets, though she could be for other high school teams. The last time I talked with her she stated she had four current offers to play collegiately, but has yet to commit.
Katja Blanchat Katja Blanchat 6'0" | MB Smoky Valley | 2025 State KS , 6'0”, MB, Smoky Valley, ‘25
Blanchat is currently ranked No. 58 overall and is a net-front monster. Blanchat is a killing machine. She currently has 302 kills in 59 sets for the Vikings. It is the third season in a row she has eclipsed the 300-kill total and she has over 1,000-kills for her career. She is also an efficient blocker. She finished her junior season with 107 total blocks and has 43 to this point in the season. Blanchat is a quality basketball prospect and this summer was the first time she told me she was ready to make volleyball her priority for recruitment. Every Jayhawk Conference school should consider making her an offer and she should seriously consider all JUCO offers than transfer to a Division II or smaller Division I program after winning a couple of league or national junior college titles.
Prayer Roebuck Prayer Roebuck 5'10" | RS Neodesha | 2025 State KS , 5'10”, RS, Neodesha, ‘25
Roebuck is currently ranked No. 59 overall. She is another player that I can not believe has not received more offers. The size of her school and the fact that she is also a solid basketball prospect have impacted her recruitment. She is a legist athlete, whose skills I have seen increase in the past two years. Roebuck has recorded 313 kills in 56 sets played. She is a member of the 1,000-kill club, and has also been used as a setter in the past.

Follis is currently ranked No. 60 overall and in my opinion is the top uncommitted libero in Kansas. I saw her play in Concordia this weekend and she had another stellar match against Southeast Saline. She has 436 digs in 66 sets played. It is the third season in a row she will finish with over 400 digs. She has a quiet platform, is quick, and plays with confidence. She has an offer from Barton Community College. I know she would still like to find a program where she would get the chance to play with her twin sister and Beloit setter Jaidyn Follis Jaidyn Follis 5'5" | S/DS/L Beloit | 2025 State KS .

Wilhelm is currently ranked No. 61 overall and another uncommitted libero I feel should get a chance to play college ball. She is taller than Follis, but not quite as smooth. Her serve is better than Follis'. Both of them are winners playing on elite teams. She wears three different jerseys so trying to add up her stats was like trying to solve a Sodoku puzzle. If I did my math correctly she has collected 199 digs this season for the Vikings.
