<p>The high school season is officially done besides any all-star games that may be played. If my memory serves me correctly, this is also a break from Cape Girardeau as next year the final four will move to St. Joseph Missouri. Here is a quick wrap on what took place last week.</p>

<p><strong>Class 1</strong></p>

<p>Wiona swept their way to a state title winning both matches in straight sets defeating Jasper and Advance in the process. The team from Southeast Missouri finished the year 34-3-2. Freshman Sadie Kile and junior [player_tooltip player_id='237001' first='Taylor' last='Williams'] paced the team offensively throughout the season. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='232323' first='Lexi' last='Lindsey'] had over 1000 assists on the year.</p>

<p>Jasper would claim the 3rd place match over Santa Fe. </p>

<p><strong>Class 2</strong></p>

<p>Fair Grove completed the perfect season by winning the class 2 title and going 41-0. They also would sweep their way through the final four, knocking off Bishop LeBlond in the final match. Five players had five kills or more in the match, led by [player_tooltip player_id='493046' first='Shea' last='Skouby'] and her 12. [player_tooltip player_id='349621' first='Brooke' last='Daniels'] handed out 27 assists. </p>

<p>St. Vincent and Hermann would use all five sets to determine the 3rd place winner St. Vincent would win the match.</p>

<p><strong>Class 3</strong></p>

<p>The final four state champion sweep fest was still in action with Potosi claiming the Class 3 trophy. This would give the class a new state champion for the first time in four years after Blair Oaks won three straight. Odessa in the semi and Logan-Rogersville in the final had no answer for [player_tooltip player_id='170045' first='Ava' last='Robart']. She had 26 kills in each match. Edan Robart tallied 13 and 12 respectively to be Robin to Batman. </p>

<p>Odessa swept Eldon to win 3rd.</p>

<p><strong>Class 4</strong></p>

<p>St. Pius X is your class 4 state champion. They took care of business sweeping Platte County in the first semifinal contests. Jefferson City needed all five sets to take down Lutheran St. Charles. In the final, Pius needed four sets to stake claim to the title. Three players were in double-digit kills with [player_tooltip player_id='221230' first='Bennett' last='Raterman'] leading the way with 20. [player_tooltip player_id='221231' first='Elena' last='Ruble'] dished 43 assists. </p>

<p>Lutheran St. Charles defeated Platte County.</p>

<p><strong>Class 5</strong></p>

<p>The best match of the state tournament arguably took place during the semifinal round. Lafayette and Liberty would go five sets, including some extra points along the way, capitalized by a 17-15 final set. [player_tooltip player_id='153929' first='Maya' last='Witherspoon'] (Vanderbilt) and [player_tooltip player_id='153930' first='Abigail' last='Mullen'] (USC) went swing for swing with Lafayette winning the match. On the other side, Ozark took care of Francis Howell in straight sets. After an emotional win, Lafayette scratched and survived the first set in extra points before dominating the final two sets. After a 32-kill performance, Witherspoon finished with 18 in the final. [player_tooltip player_id='219778' first='Tara' last='Venable'] added 14 in a losing effort.</p>

<p>Liberty bounced back to win third, defeating Francis Howell in three. </p>
