Houston Top 250 Expo Players to Watch Vol 1

We are just weeks away from our awesome series of showcases across the country. We will be holding our Houston Top 250 Expo on December 1st from 9:00-11:00am at the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] club practice facility in Spring, TX. If you know of any high school aged players who want to attend and get some college exposure, give them this code to save some money when registering on our website: DeleonExpo2024. This past summer's showcases were littered with college prospects and these should be no different. We are going to be previewing some of the players who have already signed up to participate. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. Without further ado, here are a few players who you should be watching at the showcase.    Grier is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at Kingwood High School and also plays club for the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] program. Miss Nelson is a very solid pin who can do a lot of things on the court. She excels at shot making with smart off-speed rolls to holes in the defense. But don't get it twisted, because this young lady has some immense power that will catch lazy defenders off-guard really quickly. Her strong and powerful frame is ideal for a power pin to keep the pressure on the opposition. We cannot wait to see her in action up close and personal to see if she has the ball control in the back row to be listed in our State Ranking List once it is unveiled later on this club season. We will be watching her closely during the scrimmage drills and you should as well.     Makayla is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but she has popped up onto our radar as of lat with her stellar performance this high school season. She plays volleyball at Edinburg High School and club for the Mcallen Fierce volleyball program. Miss Olvera was recently written about due to her production as an assassin on the volleyball court. She has racked up an insane amount of kills and the craziest part about it is that they have primarily come out of the middle position. Normally the leaderboard is littered with outside pins because they usually get the most attempts, but Makayla has earned the respect of her setter to feed her early and often. I am very intrigued to see her at the Expo because we will challenge her to speed up her tempo in the middle to hit faster paced sets. If she can adjust to them, then she will be boosted onto the big stage of our lists. The other aspect that I am really wanting to see is how she performs both in the back row and also attacking out of the pins. Stay tuned for more.     Karsyn is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet She plays volleyball at Barbers Hill High School and club for the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] program. Miss St. John wowed all of our coaches at this summer's Prep Dig Freshman Houston Showcase. Her footwork , speed, posture and touch on the ball were all things that she impressed us with. A lot of young players tend to stand up a lot while moving toward the ball and during contact, but you can tell that Karsyn has been trained very well because her posture was exceptionally disciplined. Her soft natural touch on the ball in both serve receive and while digging showed us that she is the ultimate weapon to deploy against top of the line attackers. She will for sure keep the ball on her team's side of the court so they can run high-level offense. She will for sure be able to compete with all of the top talent that will be in attendance and we will challenge her by seeing if she can compete with the older players also.
