Houston Top 250 Expo Players to Watch Vol 2

We are just weeks away from our awesome series of showcases across the country. We will be holding our Houston Top 250 Expo on December 1st from 9:00-11:00am at the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] club practice facility in Spring, TX. This past summer's showcases were littered with college prospects and these should be no different. We are going to be previewing some of the players who have already signed up to participate. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. Without further ado, here are a few players who you should be watching at the showcase.    Elizabeth is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Kingwood Park High School and also plays club for the [program_tooltip program_id='499169' first='MoCo' last='MAVS'] volleyball program. Miss Milbrandt is a solid blocker who keeps her hands high and is able to provide a solid presence at the net for her team's defense. The strong-framed lefty is very versatile as she is able to play both right side and middle for her team. If her coach needs her to switch positions mid-game, she is able to accomplish that and not lose her focus. Not a lot of players are able to run both quick tempo and higher tempo sets in the same match as it can throw off your timing on the attack, but Elizabeth has no trouble with them. The faster that she approaches to the ball, the harder her attacks are. So far we have seen her speed up her arm swing to add a lot of pace on the ball. Being only a freshman, we can see her potential and think she has a high ceiling to keep improving. Stay tuned for more.     Kennedi is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Louisiana State Rankings, but that is only because we do not have them released for her state yet. She plays volleyball at The Dunham School and club for the Red Storm volleyball program. Miss Owens is one of those high-flying players who is travelling from another state to compete with some top talent in the Houston area. After watching her highlight reels, I am very intrigued to see how she will showcase herself. She is super athletic on the left side pin and has no trouble playing all six rotations. Offensively there is a lot to love about her abilities. She plays with a lot of fire and scores in a variety of ways. It will be very interesting to watch her run multiple routes and tempos but from what I see, it shouldn't be a problem for her. From what I see, she has every tool in her toolbox to get some looks by college scouts very soon. Stay tuned as we analyze her skills in person at the Expo and report back to you.     Lauren is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Grand Oaks High School and club for the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] program. Miss Duarte is a great addition to any roster as she can pull double duties as a setter and an opposite attacker. By having someone her height that can be versatile at both positions, it saves a coach substitutions and keeps some continuity in the offensive flow. By being a taller setter, Lauren is able to save a lot of balls that are tight to the net. As far as her hands are concerned, they are very soft and the ball floats out of them really nicely. As an attacker, she is able to add some pace on her attack by using her entire body at the point of contact. I am eager to watch her in action at the Expo to see how she interacts with her hitters and if she can stay aggressive throughout the entire two hours. Stay tuned as we report back about her.
