Expert Analysis
Guilherme Torres | Prep Dig Scout
Milbrandt features for the MoCo Mavs 16 Red team that will be in action in the 16 Division. Very tall and physical, she’s a force for them on the right, making a big impact at the net. A lefty, Milbrandt does a good job of making contact with the ball at the highest possible point, and she’s excellent with her locations, consistently finding open spots on the opponent’s court. She also thrives with her blocking, using her long arms to press opponents, and is very quick to peel off the net and dig sharp-angle swings.

Milbrandt played for the MoCo Mavs 15 Red team that finished in fourth place, with two wins and three losses. She made great use of her length to score points and was a constant threat to opponents at the net. Milbrandt’s swings weren’t always powerful, but she did a great job of making contact with the ball at a very high point and sending it into great locations with her skilled left arm. The right side hitter also offered a big blocking presence to the team and was very efficient in getting digs at sharp angle when she peeled off the net.

Elizabeth is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Kingwood Park High School and also plays club for the MoCo MAVS volleyball program. Miss Milbrandt is a solid blocker who keeps her hands high and is able to provide a solid presence at the net for her team’s defense. The strong-framed lefty is very versatile as she is able to play both right side and middle for her team. If her coach needs her to switch positions mid-game, she is able to accomplish that and not lose her focus. Not a lot of players are able to run both quick tempo and higher tempo sets in the same match as it can throw off your timing on the attack, but Elizabeth has no trouble with them. The faster that she approaches to the ball, the harder her attacks are. So far we have seen her speed up her arm swing to add a lot of pace on the ball. Being only a freshman, we can see her potential and think she has a high ceiling to keep improving. Stay tuned for more.
