We are now underway with our awesome series of showcases across the country. Up first was our San Antonio Top 250 Expo at the Alamo City All Stars Sportsplex in Northeast San Antonio. This series of articles is to highlight those players who earned a Top Performer award from our court coaches and scouts that were in attendance. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. Without further ado, here are a few players who were named Top Performers at the showcase.

Avery is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at La Vernia High School and plays club for the [program_tooltip program_id='510823' first='South' last='Texas Volleyball Academy'] program. Miss Pitus did a fantastic job of showcasing her skills to our scouts and court coaches. After watching the video of her play on court two, I was thoroughly impressed with how she was always prepared to swing block against the right side attacker. She was extremely patient with her set up and when to release to block. This kind of timing is crucial to make sure that she will be pressing over while the attacker is making contact with the ball. Her competitive spirit never wavered for the entire session and even when she was on the sideline during her rest session, she was still cheering on her teammates. I also liked how she was ready for anything to come her way during emergency situations. This high motor that she has will come in handy for any team she is on. All in all, I can see why her court coaches nominated her for this award. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at the Expo.

Bailey is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Dripping Springs High School and club for the Austin Skyline volleyball program. Miss Brandenberger did a great job of being ready to play either pin position for her team during the scrimmage drills. As a right side, I saw her compete very well on the defensive end and always be ready to swing hard when her setter fed her the ball. By being able to play multiple positions and always work hard while doing it, she is a coach's dream to have on their roster. This kind of selflessness is what we want all players to strive toward. As an attacker I really liked how she swung with a vicious purpose to kill the ball or keep the opposing side out of system. By staying aggressive at the net, she gives her team a fighting chance to succeed. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this Expo.

Breanna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is listed on our official Watch List. She plays volleyball at Saint Mary's Hall High School and club for the [program_tooltip program_id='431254' first='San' last='Antonio Juniors'] volleyball program. I was very intrigued to watch this young lady at the Expo due to what I have heard from her club coaches. They mentioned that we should really look into her and I am so glad that they did. What I noticed about her form and technique are how she is able to drop step her feet very fast in order to help herself create some awesome digging/passing angles while delivering the ball to her setter. Another aspect that stood out to me while watching her pass/dig was how she kept her posture low and forward even while moving backward. This is a skill that requires some hardcore discipline and “coachability”. By doing this over and over when the opportunity presented itself, it showed me a lot about those who coach her and how she responds to them. Being coachable is one of the number one top signs of players who will go far in this sport. The ball rebounded very nicely off of her platform while she was digging and passing serve out of both left back and middle back. It is nice to see players who look comfortable in either position as they have different responsibilities within different schemes. I was very impressed with her and agree that she earned this award. Please help me congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this Expo.
