Benavides was with the AJV 17 Adidas team that ranked 15th with five wins and three losses. Very quick and technical, the libero generated many transition opportunities for her team with her high production on defense. Benavides’ game also stood out for her excellent ball control, which also appeared when she passed and when she had to set in transition. The libero was constantly effective with her aggressive floater and was very consistent in general during the day.

She plays at St. Mary’s Hall and competes for Austin Juniors Volleyball Club, and her steady development has been impossible to ignore. She recently announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic career at Villanova University. What makes Bre special is her preparation before contact. She reads the server early and subtly adjusts into position before the ball ever crosses the net. That level of anticipation reflects focus and dedication to mastering her craft. It is not reactive movement. It is intentional positioning. Athletically, she brings range and control. Her hands are soft and reliable, which allows her to step in and deliver a perfect out of system set when needed. When the setter takes first contact, Benavides can seamlessly transition into playmaker mode and keep the offense flowing. The small nuances in her game are what elevate her. Watch closely and you will see her take a subtle step toward the middle of the court when reading a potential setter dump. Those disciplined habits turn good liberos into great ones. She prioritizes defensive responsibility and understands spacing at a high level. Opponents would be wise to think twice before sending a tip or dump near her zone. Bre is currently ranked as the 77^th best overall prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings.  She plays volleyball for Saint Mary’s Hall High School and also plays for the San Antonio Juniors volleyball program.  We have seen this young lady a lot over the last two years as she has burst onto the scene and wowed everyone who watches her play with her fast-twitch muscle fibers and quick reflexes.  I truly believe that she has everything necessary to continue to climb up the rankings and have tons of college scouts interested in her play.  Hard driven balls that would normally scare some defenders away are easy pickings for Breanna.  It is almost like she sees the game in slow motion at times.  Armed with a soft touch and laser focused eyes, she is able to dig at a very high level for any squad that she is on.  We placed her on the top court for a reason and she did not disappoint, as she was one of the best ball control experts there.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award. 

Please officially welcome Miss Benavides to the State Rankings.  She is currently ranked as the 77^th best overall prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings.  She plays for Saint Mary’s Hall High School and also for the San Antonio Juniors volleyball club.  We have covered her a few times already this year and for very good reason.  This young lady can flat out play defense and pass serve at an elite level.  Her club coaches are also very high on her abilities as they have reached out to us to give her a solid look.  We really love what we see and that is why she has earned this spot.  Her posture very rarely changes while she is moving toward the ball.  When a libero doesn’t raise up her shoulders, this keeps the ball moving forward toward her setter during the pass or dig.  I also love how tenacious she is on defense.  Her mentality proves just how persistent she is at pursuing the ball.  There are tons of times that she comes out of nowhere to dive for a loose ball and keep it from scoring.  We are very high on this young lady and think she has a very bright future in the sport.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our State Rankings. 

Breanna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is listed on our official Watch List.  She plays volleyball at Saint Mary’s Hall High School and club for the San Antonio Juniors volleyball program.  I was very intrigued to watch this young lady at the Expo due to what I have heard from her club coaches.  They mentioned that we should really look into her and I am so glad that they did.  What I noticed about her form and technique are how she is able to drop step her feet very fast in order to help herself create some awesome digging/passing angles while delivering the ball to her setter.  Another aspect that stood out to me while watching her pass/dig was how she kept her posture low and forward even while moving backward.  This is a skill that requires some hardcore discipline and “coachability”.  By doing this over and over when the opportunity presented itself, it showed me a lot about those who coach her and how she responds to them.  Being coachable is one of the number one top signs of players who will go far in this sport.  The ball rebounded very nicely off of her platform while she was digging and passing serve out of both left back and middle back.  It is nice to see players who look comfortable in either position as they have different responsibilities within different schemes.  I was very impressed with her and agree that she earned this award.  Please help me congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this Expo. 

Breanna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our official Watch List.  She plays volleyball at Saint Mary’s Hall High School and club for the San Antonio Juniors volleyball program.  Miss Benavides has accumulated 679 digs this high school season as a sophomore on varsity.  She has single handedly helped her team stay in rallies on defense.  If you thought that was great, check this out!  She is also a legit threat to score points for her squad as she has tallied 177 aces from the service line also.  I am very interested to watch her in person and see just how competitive she is against the top talent that will be in attendance at the Expo.  What I have heard from some coaches is that she is one of the top defensive players that should be getting a ton of looks by coaches soon.  My eyes will definitely be watching and you should also.
