Four Class 5A Teams could not advance to the second day of the tournament in Salina.

However, each team had a strong season and at least one prospect turned in a noticeable performance during the tournament.

Behr is ranked No. 1 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027, and she plays with the intensity of a six-year-old opening up birthday presents. She has an infectious energy that her teammates feed off, and when the chips are down, it's usually her who leads the rally. Great Bend started the tournament slow, but her play kept the Panthers in the first match of the evening. Great Ben was the No. 2 and finished the tournament with an 0-3 record.

[player_tooltip player_id='493419' first='Aliyah' last='Green'], 6'1”, MB, Andover, ‘25

Green is currently ranked No. 86 overall by Prep Dig. She is a multiple-sport prospect in volleyball and basketball. She had one of the best matches at the net that I have seen from her. She helped Andover get off to a hot start in the loss to St. James Academy and helped Andover force Kapaun Mt. Carmel to three sets in the second match. Andover was the No. 3 Seed and finished the tournament with a record of 1-2.

[player_tooltip player_id='153937' first='Alea' last='Goolsby'], 5'11”, S, St. Thomas Aquinas, ‘25

Goolsby can be described with one word, STUD! She is a dangerous athlete and is headed to Iowa State after graduation. Prep Dig Kansas has her ranked No. 3 overall and she is ranked No. 36 nationally by Prep Dig. She can hit with the best of them and I imagine she could have an immediate impact at the collegiate level. Aquinas was the No. 5 Seed in the tournament and finished with a 1-2 record during pool play.

[player_tooltip player_id='523672' first='Chloe' last='Kmiecik'], 6'1”, MB, De Soto, ‘26

Kmiecik is an athlete I have not seen play often and now I wish I had. The good thing is I still have another year to see her play for De Soto. She was the Wildcats' top attacker during their second match of the tournament. She is long and physical. She had a couple of kills early in the match against Blue Valley Southwest that helped De Soto keep the match close. De Soto was the No. 8 Seed and finished the tournament 0-3.
