The Meadows Mustangs (4X NIAA 3A State Champions)

The four-time 3A State Champions are headed by coaches Raymond Fafard & Nani Fafard. These coaches have instilled a tremendous amount of confidence in their players that each Mustang carries as they hold each other accountable on the court. This has led the phenomenal group of players to dominate the 3A division resulting in a strong legacy that has been & will continue to be defined as The Meadows Mustangs Dynasty! Leading with amazing and aggressive attacks is Sophomore OH [player_tooltip player_id='543127' first='Piper' last='Kennedy'], Senior RS [player_tooltip player_id='724012' first='Sydnee' last='Clark'], Senior MB Alena Winkler, Freshman OH [player_tooltip player_id='564326' first='Kerrigan' last='Falb'], Sophomore MB [player_tooltip player_id='720122' first='Savera' last='Dhaliwal'], but nothing and I mean nothing gets started without the hustle and team sacrificing efforts of Junior DS/L [player_tooltip player_id='720357' first='Aarti' last='Milan Patel'] & the on time, pin-point passing of Senior Setter [player_tooltip player_id='720158' first='Grace' last='Evans']. This Dynasty of winners has established their names in the record books and has earned their title. Huge CONGRATS to The Meadows Mustangs.

Moapa Valley Pirates

The Moapa Valley Pirates came to the semifinal game ready to play and made it known that they were determined to challenge and contend for the state championship title but to do this they needed to compete against the Elko Indians first. Through both matches, it became apparent that the Pirates were not going to allow anyone to stand in their way as Senior OH [player_tooltip player_id='715109' first='Sofia' last='Hammond'] displayed an array of cross court and down the line kills shots. Senior MH Claire Cox & Senior OH Sienna Neilson made huge impacts keeping their team in play for huge victories and Freshman Setter [player_tooltip player_id='723988' first='Phoebe' last='Leavitt'] continued to drop dimes all over the court. Junior OH Daisie Gordon made her presence known on defense giving her team multiple opportunities to earn each point and this is what made this team special. Huge congrats and great job to the Lady Pirates finishing as the Runner Up in the 3A State Championship.

The Elko Indians were not to be underestimated by any means. Standing tall, reaching high and attacking the ball for the purpose of winning was on full display by this exciting group of players. It's no wonder why they were playoff bound and made it all the way into the state 3A Semifinal. Senior DS/L Merisa Ginnings kept the ball in play and worked hard for very efficient digs and passes while Junior Setter Madilee Glasgow gave dimes away on a regular basis. The attacks came in every direction, and this was very effective for Elko's Senior MB [player_tooltip player_id='720055' first='Brakkin' last='Larsen'], Senior OH Roxy Keim & Senior MH Addi Seipp who dominated the season and blazed the pathway to playoffs. Great job to the Elko Indians.

It was an absolute privilege to watch The Fernley Vaqueros compete in the 3A Semifinal against the returning champions. The Vaqueros were intentional and the playoffs suit them well. Captain Senior Setter [player_tooltip player_id='720152' first='Hunter' last='Lyle'] was astounding at the service line and efficient with communication and ball placement giving her attackers great opportunities and they definitely showcased their talents. This also set a great example & tone for their Sophomore Setter Alauna Escartin who continued the trend with phenomenal assists. Senior RS/MB Kaydence Pomeroy and Senior OH Arianna Mathern were focused on aggressive attacks, tooling the block and accumulating momentum for their team and they competed all the way to the end. Great job in this playoff run Lady Vaqueros.
