She finished the year as the top assist for Class 2 2027 setters with 1161. Kendyl is a tough player on defense, with great hands and quickness to the ball. She's brilliant with her sets, and with more experience, she will develop into a solid quarterback for EB.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='732915' first='Kennedy' last='Worthley'] – Setter – Stover</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another big shoe to replace was Kennedy, who filled the role with purpose and poise. She is a solid defensive setter who uses her speed to get to most balls and uses her hands. Kennedy finished 2nd in assists for Class 2 2027 setters with 694 in her first season running the offense for Stover.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='635415' first='Grace' last='Engeman'] – Setter – Adrian</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Watching Grace, you can tell she has been thumping the ball around with her sister for a long time. Grace is one of the top setters in Class 2&nbsp;and&nbsp;has a bright future. She has fantastic hands&nbsp;and a very high volleyball IQ. She sees the block and defense exceptionally well and loves to catch the defense napping with her setter dump. The offensive-minded setter finished the season with 661 assists and 108 kills while running the offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='725066' first='Myia' last='Dillman'] – Libero – Mid-Buchanan</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As I've written about other teammates of Myia, the libero is a key part of the youth movement that will turn the Dragons into a playoff contender. Myia was one of the top liberos in her Class 2 class, ending the season with 361 digs in her first full-time season on varsity. She was a big libero with a great platform and also led her team in serving.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='485633' first='Shelby' last='Redd'] – Libero – Skyline</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Shelby finished as the top dig leader for Class 2 2027 players with 574 digs, for 5 per set. The speedster libero led her class and was one of the top diggers in the SWMO area in all classes. With more experience and a more aggressive nature, Shelby will develop into one of the top Class 2 liberos over the next two years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='544738' first='Jenna' last='Jackson'] – Libero – New Covenant Academy</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A big first season for Jenna put her as one of the top Class 2 defenders in her 2027 class, ending the year with 502 digs. You can tell Jenna plays a lot of volleyball, as she sees the game extremely well. She's quick to the ball, sees the hitters well enough to read where they are going, and gets to the ball with her feet. A club season with 417 will help her get even better.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
