The Pin Hitter Recruitment List: Top Pins at Top250 Expo (Pt. 2)

It was quite the afternoon at the Courts in Beaverton on Sunday, December 22nd. With over 100 athletes from Oregon and Washington gathering to compete, it was a fast-paced and high-energy-filled gym.   To kick off our coverage of the event, we'll be highlighting the top pin hitters from classes 2025 through 2028. These rising stars are already making waves in the volleyball world and will undoubtedly be valuable additions to your recruiting list.    Ivester's steady play at the Top 250 stood out during warm-up games and continued to impress throughout the showcase. As an attacker, she has a well-tempoed approach and a quick wrist that generates a lot of power. Her ability to change the pace of her attacks and keep defenders guessing showcases her versatility as an offensive player. During gameplay, her high IQ and court vision resulted in point-scoring opportunities for her team by placing the ball in the deep court or tipping it to the open court. On serve receive, she has active feet and a technically sound platform that results in in-system passes. Ivester's all-around skill set and well-rounded game make her an exciting player to watch as she continues to develop and refine her abilities.     Archie is an athlete who consistently demonstrates significant improvement with every performance, and her play at the Top 250 was a clear testament to this progress. Her well tempoed approach and high reach from either pin or the backcourt get her in good rhythm to score. Her versatility as an attacker allows her to make an impact from various positions on the court. She is vocal on the court, and makes herself consistently availble to her team to be an offensive option. She also brings positive and encouraging energy to the court, always supporting and motivating her fellow athletes. Archie's combination of skill, leadership, and positive energy makes her a standout player and an asset to any squad.     Hamilton was showcased steady yet dominant play at the Top 250, continuing to elevate her game. Since the last showcase, she has added a few inches to her stature, significantly enhancing her reach and attacking range and making her an even more formidable presence on the court. With an aggressive approach, impressive hops, and a quick arm swing, she was tough to defend against during scrimmages. Hamilton's ability to attack from multiple angles with explosive power kept opponents on their heels, further solidifying her reputation as a force to be reckoned with.     Gange turned heads early on at the Top 250, hammering away during Four Square. A left-handed attacker, she swings with ease on the right side. Her heavy arm and exceptional wrist control allow her to move the ball around the court with both power and accuracy, keeping opponents on their toes. Determined to score, Gange maintains an aggressive mindset throughout the game. As a blocker, she is hungry for the ball and lines up with the opposing attacker well.     West was an athlete who immediately stood out among the other 2028s, thanks to her impressive 6-foot stature. Her height has aided in her developing a formidable attacking range, blending powerful swings with strategically placed shots that keep opponents on their toes. In addition to her offensive skills, she also brings a tough float serve to the service line. With such a solid foundation and so much potential still untapped, West is undoubtedly an athlete to watch closely as she continues to progress and refine her talents.     Olsgaard was an exciting athlete to watch at the Top 250. A standout from the class of 2028, she is a commanding presence on the court in every capacity. High-flying with a quick arm, she proved lethal as an attacker during gameplay. Her confidence across the backcourt, especially on serve receive, was also noted. Given her current trajectory, it will be exciting to see how she evolves into one of the top players in her class. Olsgaard is an athlete who should be high on your 2028 recruiting list.     Longacre flexed some serious attacking skills at the Top 250, quickly establishing herself as a dominant offensive force throughout the event. Her fast arm swing allowed her to deliver powerful attacks that consistently kept opponents off balance. Beyond her physical ability, Longacre also demonstrated impressive court vision and a high volleyball IQ, which is particularly remarkable for a freshman.
