The 2024 Michigan Top 250 Expo put over 100 prospects on display on Sunday.

It was a competitive group with a lot of prospects displaying a promising future.

Here's a look at the first part of our 2026 prospect evaluations.

[player_tooltip player_id='589152' first='Maddison' last='DeRosia'], OH Birch Run/High Impact

DeRosia stands just 5'6”, but she has some great hang time that allowed her to compete at the net. She was able to use her leaping ability to adjust well to the ball and make a good play on most of her swings. She also brought a strong serve to the table.

[player_tooltip player_id='226936' first='Lexie' last='Stotenbur'], S FH Northern/FaR Out

One of the standouts of the Expo, Stotenbur handles all situations with a lot of poise. She exhibits good decision-making, both with her sets and her defensive choices. Stotenbur gelled quickly with all the different hitters and got a lot of great swings out of all of them.

[player_tooltip player_id='261175' first='Kendal' last='Quain'], S Marysville/Crank It

The 5'9” Quain looked really comfortable during the Expo. She wasn't afraid to challenge herself and show her array of sets and abilities. Quain was one of the most athletic setters on display, but she was able to do so without much effort. Things came very natural for her.

[player_tooltip player_id='555634' first='Kennedy' last='Hinkle'], OH Stevenson/Michigan Elite

The 5'11” Hinkle has a long wingspan that makes her a real force at the net, both offensively and defensively. She also has solid explosion off the floor, which allows her to wait on the ball and uncork a powerful swing. I liked the way Hinkle battled at the net, especially to win 50-50 balls.

[player_tooltip player_id='490036' first='Emma' last='Rosenow'], OH Romeo/Michigan Elite

Rosenow was one of the standout hitters. She made a lot of plays look easy, as she has a lot of spring off the floor and comes down hard over the top of the ball. Rosenow never looks to question her ability, as she was very consistent in her ability to finish points and make an aggressive play on an out-of-system-ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='537168' first='Gabriella' last='Ferrera'], MH Woodhaven/Michigan Elite

The 6'1” middle is able to play above the net and can do it without exerting much energy. She's able to place the ball over the court. There is still a high ceiling for her, as it looks like she can dial up the intensity more consistently heading into her senior season next fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='631464' first='Mya' last='Eberlein'], MH Edwardsburg/NIVA

The 6'2” Eberlein has a lot of length to work with, but she was a little passive in the early stages of the Expo. However, she turned up her play to another level as things progressed and we saw more of her potential. She can be a real difference-maker at the net, as she stays active and is willing to battle with other hitters and blockers.

Kennedy Perkins, MH Ann Arbor Huron/Legacy

Perkins was doing her best to feel out the various setters she worked with and she had a knack for being able to high-point the ball. Sometime she was waiting a little too long to go for the ball, but she did a good job of making sure she kept the ball in play instead of forcing an aggressive swing into the net.

[player_tooltip player_id='584679' first='Emma' last='Dice'], DS/L Birch Run/Arsenal

Dice was a player that challenged herself at multiple positions. She showed good footwork as a defender and made smooth passes. She also competed with the big hitters at the event despite being a little undersized. She did a good job of working through errors and cleaning up her play on the next rep. I liked her competitiveness.
