They will run a 5-1 with <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='742032' first='Nyla' last='Linton'] </strong>being the team's setter. She's got a lot of familiarity with her hitters, which will help this team get off running from the start.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Linton knows where to get the ball, and she has a lot of capable hitters to finish points. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='742035' first='Nevaeh' last='Streich'] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='536574' first='Megan' last='Putra'] </strong>have gelled with Linton from their experience last year. These two outsides, along with <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='742034' first='Allie' last='Rothenberg']</strong>, can put the ball all over the floor and deliver with power and savvy. In the middle, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='765780' first='Zoe' last='Moulton-Carroll'] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='742029' first='Kaelyn' last='Horcha']</strong> also have good chemistry with Linton from the past. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='742036' first='Audrey' last='Walters'] </strong>is a right side that will be a great compliment to the offense, while <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='742031' first='Harper' last='Klein'] </strong>is a utility asset that L2 will be able to move anywhere around the floor and provide flexibility with the lineup.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Defensive Battle</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When it comes to the back row, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='742556' first='Halle' last='Perkins'] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='765778' first='Yukari' last='Murayama'] </strong>are both capable of leading the way and L2 sees this as a competition all season as to who will wear the libero jersey each weekend. Both players are well-coached and seem to have a lot of poise in their play. This should be a great battle and help bring the best out of each prospect.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Expectations</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What we are seeing early on is this team isn't going to be an easy out for anyone. This past weekend during The Nike Classic, L2 battled hard. While it posted just a 2-5 record for the weekend, three of their losses came in three sets. Those matches will prove to be helpful going forward. The continued growth of the hitters behind a reliable setter should keep 151 right in the mix in the Midwest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
