<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Starting the New Year with Liberos & Setters from the 2026 Class</h2>   Liberos and Setters are spotlighted in this article covering the 2026 rankings update. Athletes from across the state made their mark in the high school season, and this group of players had a huge impact. The rankings are deep, with skilled players at both positions; here are several standouts from the update.    The Ridgeline libero is the #2 ranked libero in the class, and her play in the back row was crucial to the Falcons' run to the 3A State Championship. Her serve developed into a weapon as the season went on, and Ridgeline had long runs and turned the momentum in multiple matches with Livingston at the line. Livingston has become stronger and can stand in against hard swings and     Andrews has excellent range, is extremely quick, and makes outstanding moves on the ball when she has to make a dig outside of her body. She will keep adjusting her positioning to stay out from behind the block and can make highlight-reel reaction plays when her team needs them most. Andrews is one to watch and a prospect we expect to continue to rise in the rankings.     The #10 ranked libero in the class, Strom handled DS duties for Silas during the high school season. Strom consistently pulls in tight and covers her attackers, using her flat float serve with a good pace and movement to keep teams out system.     Waters has played multiple positions in club and high school; she was electric on the pin for NWC this fall and played her usual gritty defense. Leapai always betters the ball and makes difficult plays look easy- no matter her position. She played as a setter and pin for the Wolverines; Leapai has a powerful arm swing and sweet hands that can fling sets pin to pin. She is a terrific overall player and the #4 ranked setter in the Washington class of 2026.     A 1st-team 3A NPSL all-league performer, Dumontet is now ranked the 26th overall player in the class of 2026 rankings. Her skilled hands and precise setting location let her mix up the offense; she keeps defenses on their heels and involves multiple attackers for her squad.     Riach did everything for the Cougars during the high school season. The 5'11" setter/right side tore up opposing defenses with hard-hitting swings, a tough serve and smart setting to set up her teammates. Defensively, she is a long, athletic blocker who can pull back and play defense with hustle and effort in the back row.     Daily was a crucial part of West Seattle taking home a District Championship and battling hard at the State Tournament. The junior is smooth and makes great decisions on the court; Daily was named 2nd Team All-Metro Conference. West Seattle will bring back 10 players for another run next season; Daily will be counted on as one of the senior leaders.
