Eyes On Me! 2028 ‘Bros to Watch from Michigan

Out of the Mitten state, this is once more a class chock full of serious potential and a lot of talent. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This latest rankings update has seen over 80 athletes in the midst of the 2028 watch list. We're going to be taking a look at this class position by position. The libero position is always an interesting one to watch unfold. Many of the great liberos begin their careers as attackers or even setters before the transition. So, it is always fun to see the evolution of these players unfold. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For the 2028s, we have, already, a strong group of 'bros that are looking to be the next big names of the game. Check out the top five liberos in Michigan.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='454374' first='Addison' last='Nostrandt'] - Birch Run</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Most would've associated this name with being a top rated libero in the 2027 class. However, [player_tooltip player_id='454374' first='Addison' last='Nostrandt'] is only a freshman and has been doing extremely well playing up a class for a few years now. Now, class corrected, I can only anticipate Nostrandt's game to be even more clean and crisp. She's a silent assassin that played a huge role in Birch Run's conference title this fall. She's was also one of only two freshman liberos to be named to the MIVCA All-State list.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='553151' first='Ashlyn' last='Pelon'] - Marian</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Speaking of that other freshman libero to the MIVCA All-State lists as a freshman, let's talk [player_tooltip player_id='553151' first='Ashlyn' last='Pelon']. This fall was a huge introduction for Pelon. As a rookie, Pelon found herself in the Libero jersey for Marian very early on in the season. Snagging the role from the returning ‘bro, Pelon took the jersey and ran. More times than not, she was one of, if not the best player on the court. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='587009' first='Kaitlyn' last='Koceski'] - Novi</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This prospect gives a lot of promise going into her 15s season of club. With Legacy's 14-1s, [player_tooltip player_id='587009' first='Kaitlyn' last='Koceski'] was the first DS on the court and proved to be a dynamic 1-2 punch with Pelon. She continued her DS role in a senior heavy Novi group this fall and proved herself at multiple Prep Dig Showcases. Koceski is very much a player you would want to keep an eye on throughout this coming club season.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='710234' first='Olivia' last='Tyler'] - Jonesville</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's quite rare to see a freshman up there as a statewide digs leader. However, here we are with [player_tooltip player_id='710234' first='Olivia' last='Tyler'], out of Jonesville. An area not too known for their volleyball, a player like Tyler might change that narrative. Tyler put up over 370 digs in her freshman season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='587006' first='Hope' last='Purwadihardja'] - Plymouth </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='587006' first='Hope' last='Purwadihardja'] could very much come into the club season and be an X-Factor for MiElite 15 Mizuno. She's coming off of an entire year running the show at the setter position. However, she always showed off an incredible defense range and top notch pursuit. She's projected to play a DS role for 15 Mizuno, but given her multiple position background, Purwadihardja could very much go anywhere with impact.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
