Anna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at McKinney North High School and plays club for the Arete volleyball program. I love when players catch my eye when you least expect them to and when I watched Anna play she made me write down a ton of notes. Being slightly undersized in the left side pin position, I didn't expect her to show much, however I was amazed at the sheer power that she possesses in her right arm. The ball has some extra pace on it as it pops off of her hand super fast. Other than her immense power, I was loving how she is the glue that holds this team together by not coming off of the court and her exceptional ball control skills. Her team relies on her passing to stay in system and she is eager to oblige. As an attacker, what makes her special is how she contacts the ball at the true peak of her reach. Equipped with long arms and exceptional downward force, she is able to make solid contact on the ball that creates some amazing top spin and catch the last five feet of the corner of the court to score. I also loved how she is able to move the ball around the block in order to score efficiently. She is someone who I will be watching closely as the season progresses.

Elsa is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Tompkins High School and plays club for the [program_tooltip program_id='431166' first='Houston' last='Juniors'] volleyball program. As I made it over to her team's court I was pleasantly surprised with her play. She was very technically sound in her blocking form and that helped her team's defense immensely. Her timing was impeccable as she jumped slightly after the hitter in order to press over the net to seal it away just as the attacker was contacting the ball. While a lot of younger players tend to swing their arms wildly and raise their head, Miss St. Rose kept her head down during her press which kept her shoulders leaning forward and this resulted in a very strong upper body to block with. Although some of her teammates in her position were a little taller, I thought she outshined them with her speed and form. This kind of attention to detail in her technique at this age will result in some solid offers when she gets older from colleges. We will definitely be adding her to our watch list for this season and you should also.

Landry is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Allen High School and plays club for the Excel volleyball program. The first thing that caught my eye was her height. Every coach in the country wants a taller setter who is capable of staying in the front row in order to cut down subs and keep the offense flowing without changing setters. Miss McRae has tons of height, but more importantly she has the skills to match the attention she will get. Her hands a very solid and I don't foresee a lot of double contacts from her at all. The main reason for this will be due to her footwork. Normally taller setters will have a tough time tracking down passes and digs because of longer strides, but Landry moves rather rapidly and gets in proper position to keep the same posture. This will help her consistency for sure. What was even more impressive to me was how she truly understood distribution principles to make sure that she spread out her attack and kept the opposing defense off-balance. She went “against flow” quite a bit and it created a lot of one on one scenarios or big splits in the block. She is one to keep an eye on for sure.
