2025 Las Vegas Classic - Sequence of Explosions - Part I

This past weekend of volleyball was full of explosions that magnified the talent from every state that was represented in each division at the SCVA 39th Annual Las Vegas Classic. The intense competition was on full display and there was nothing short of excitement, jubilation and celebration at every turn. With 95 courts of teams competing from 8AM to 9PM, the sound of club season was amplified from wall to wall! College coaches, sports recruiters and scouts toured every walkway, and the atmosphere cultivated a winner's attitude. From Nevada alone, there were at least 24 clubs represented throughout the divisions of play, and we want to recognize some of the astounding prospects that lit the courts on fire with their outstanding play, intense level of sacrifice, excitement and made a huge impact on the court, no matter the outcome. Spying out new names, mingled in with those who've established themselves has been a tremendous opportunity, but these athletes have earned a moment of recognition. Let's Go!    #13 OH, [player_tooltip player_id='544594' first='Ellie' last='Thurman'] is THE TRUTH. During the Las Vegas Classic, Ellie brought every intent to explode against any opposing defensive blocker and set the record straight as to why she is currently the Prep Dig 2025 #1 ranked player! Ellie strikes fast and displays effective arm angles at both pins and that has proven to be huge asset! Her communication with her setter is fluid, her footwork for every approach is sound and we are excited for what Ellie will bring throughout her final club season as she prepares for the University Nevada Reno Wolfpack. - Anthony Jones (Prep Dig AJ)   Prospect Highlight   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/reel/DFn4Y-9SJpi/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== </div></figure>     #9 OH, [player_tooltip player_id='550487' first='Julie' last='Beckham'] is a force to be reckoned with! Julie came with massive power at the Las Vegas Classic and her dominance was featured at every turn of each competitive match. This UNLV commit brought the excitement and did not miss her opportunities to display why she earned such recognition and top rank views. Julie has a sound and complete approach along with a high arm swing that proves difficult for any defender to stop. Carsyn produces a seamless and easy transition from defense into her offensive approach, displays an effective vertical that enables her to slam cross court and line shots with force and with ease! Carsyn lives above the net and this is a huge asset that results in explosive blocks & destructive kills that lights her team on fire. VBC 18s Black team. This took them all the way to the gold bracket championship game of the 18's Premier division. The efficiency and communication of this entire team is one to emulated and Taylor is a very crucial part of the continued success that was on display. Standing at 6'1, Taylor imposes her dominant approach, displays solid passes and moves with intent. Need we say anything more? Taylor brings nothing short of energy, fire and explosive kills and this is a direct result of her sound and aggressive approach along with a massively destructive swing! Taylor strives for perfection, success and continues to manifest adjustments throughout each match as she has become the most effective and dominant hitter in the 2027 class. The current 2027 Prep Dig #1 ranked player is where it begins, and she is determined to keep her commanding personality and persistent performance at the forefront. Every effort on the court was used to dig down-ball hits, effect solid passes, keep the ball off the floor and hype her attackers up at every turn! Her ability to read the opposing attackers enables her to cover the floor very efficiently which sets her offense up for explosive advances. Her setting ability is firm, and this gives her top ranked attackers the confidence and ability to run a fast pace offense. During the Las Vegas Classic, Audrianne put on a show of powerful kills, very effective back-row passing and served a high number of aces that proved effective for her team. During the Las Vegas Classic, Bryn brought nothing but POWER, leaving a path of destruction behind her as she was a crucial part of the Vegas Aces 15s Championship run! Watching Bryn adjust approaches, use dynamic swing angles and meet success no matter the challenge assured her teammates that they were in it for the win. The power displayed in Presley's swing was on display and opposing teams had a hard time catching up to the velocity that Presley brought, and this was a huge plus for her Tstreet team as it took them into the 16s Club division gold bracket on championship day.
