While continuing to build the first rankings for the Kansas Class of 2029, I scouted three 14U Power League matches in Lawrence on February 1.

The first match of the day I scouted was a three-set tussle between [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] 14-1 and Tamales 14-1.

Here is a look at six KC area prospects who impressed me in the [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] victory.

Profiles for each of these athletes have been created and athletes can claim their FREE profiles by using this link https://prepdig.com/prospect-index/#claim-profile-anchor

Athletes are encouraged to claim their profiles and add contact information and video highlights. Athletes with claimed profiles will get a slight advantage in the rankings at the onset.

[player_tooltip player_id='747441' first='Allison' last='Howe'], 5'6”, S, Blue Valley Northwest, ‘29

Howe was my favorite player on this team. She is a smart athlete who plays with poise and composure. She has a dangerous serve and does not get rattled with the other team gets hot. By my count, she finished with 17 assists and three kills. She played six rotations and will be an athlete to watch closely through high school. She is planning on attending Blue Valley Northwest.

[player_tooltip player_id='747442' first='Jocelyn' last='Floyd'], 5'7”, OH, De Soto, ‘29

Floyd was an interesting prospect. I don't think she has a clue yet, as to how athletic she is. She can jump out of the gym and has a nice swing. She finished the match with six kills, six digs, six serve receptions, and two aces. She did hit about six balls long and I could tell she was getting in her head and being hard on herself. I liked her game and hope to see her play again soon. She is expected to play for the De Soto Wildcats.

[player_tooltip player_id='747443' first='Ashley' last='Stilley'], 5'5”, DS/L, Blue Valley West, ‘29

Stilley was the most talented libero I saw play in the Power League matches. She racked up 14 digs and 17 serve receptions for [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] 14-1. She has quick feet and made consistent first passes. She has a nice short serve and finished with an ace. Stilley is expected to play for Blue Valley West next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='747444' first='Olivia' last='Shahan'], 5'7”, OH/DS, De Soto, ‘29

Shahan was another athlete who caught my eye. She pretty much played back row only, so I would like to have seen what she can do at the net. She is a lefty who recorded four digs and seven serve receptions. De Soto could very well have two incoming freshmen next season competing for varsity time.

[player_tooltip player_id='747445' first='Hallie' last='Snyder'], 5'11”, MB, Bishop Miege, ‘29

Snyder was the most physical athlete for [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last='']. She has a big reach, is tall, and can elevate. I want to guess maybe she has gone through a recent growth spurt and may be adjusting to her frame. She played front-row only for [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last='']. He collected three kills and one block in the win. Snyder is expected to attend Bishop Miege.

[player_tooltip player_id='747446' first='Addy' last='Reynolds'], 5'10”, OH, Blue Valley Northwest, ‘29

Reynolds is another athlete who played primarily only on the front row. She collected six kills in the win and had two aces. Becoming quicker on her approach will be a key element to her evolution moving forward. She has a big frame and a bright future ahead of her. Of all the options [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] has on the front row, she played with the best energy while in the lineup. Reynolds plans to enroll at Blue Valley Northwest as a freshman.
