Dynamic Middles at the H-Town Showdown 16s Division

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>All eyes in the Texas club volleyball scene were on Austin this past weekend as the capital of the state hosted the second stop of the Tour of Texas, which reunited the best teams in the Lone Star State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Club tournaments continued to happen all across Texas, though, and Houston had one of them, in the H-Town Showdown #2. A tall and long player, she was very effective with her blocking, moving well at the net and taking up a lot of space from opposing hitters. Offensively, Zatz did a good job of making contact with the ball at a high point and hitting it in different directions. Her intensity at the net was truly impressive as she got off the floor really well and was very physical. Davis was very dynamic and aggressive with her blocking, making it harder for opponents to put the ball down when she was at the net. She offered her team a strong presence at the net and was particularly effective with her blocking. Gayle moved very well at the net and used her long arms to take up space from opposing hitters at the net. Despite being a bit undersized, she battled taller middles with great energy and a solid leaping ability. Besides getting off the floor well, Vondreau also displayed good resources to put the ball down, using her quick arm to fire powerful swings and send tips into good spots.
