Miss Davis is exceptionally strong at the net due to her raw natural power in her entire body.  A couple of things I love about her play is how focused she is at the net when the ball is on the opponents side.  You can see her eyes reading and processing to get into a great position to play the upcoming attack.  When she does decide to move laterally, it is like watching an explosion out of a cannon with her footwork.  That first step is lethal when going to close the block.  In the event that the distance is a little too far to cover, she will make it up with solid arm movement to close the block.  Her play has pushed us to place her on our official Watch List. I am eagerly anticipating watching her compete at the showcase and think she will increase the competitive level with what I see so far.  Stay tuned for more on her play. 

Lauryn is another athlete I had the immense pleasure of observing at the Prep Dig Top 250 Camp in Houston. I truly believe she is a hidden gem in the world of athletics, possessing a unique blend of skills that set her apart from her peers. I would love the opportunity to see her play in more of a team setting, where her true potential can shine through even brighter. She is incredibly agile and demonstrates outstanding footwork when it comes to blocking, as well as her impressive three-step approach, quick movements in the middle, and seamless slide techniques. Furthermore, she is very communicative on the court, showing a natural ability to rally her teammates and create synergy, making her an offense-dominant middle. Her strong block instills confidence not only in her performance but also in her teammates knowing they can rely on her. Additionally, her court awareness when transitioning off the block is truly top tier, allowing her to react quickly to the flow of the game and adjust her positioning to maximize her impact, showcasing her comprehensive understanding of the sport.
