As the 2025 club season is starting to get into full swing, there's a number of prospects that are doing their part to elevate their play.

That's especially true in the Class of 2027.

Here's a look at eight from the sophomore class that have earned some added coverage over the last month.

[player_tooltip player_id='442981' first='Grace' last='Belanger'], DS/L Plymouth Christian/Michigan Elite

Belanger has been patient and consistent in her work toward becoming a better defender and it is showing this club season. She's reading hitters very well and making up a lot of ground to get to an attack. Her first step almost always is the right read and she's timing out her dives and sprawls very well to make a clean pass to her setter.

[player_tooltip player_id='523831' first='Anna' last='Bellomo'], OH/DS Eisenhower/Michigan Elite

Bellomo is a player that has benefited from playing a number of different positions. She's able to finish from either pin, but also has some experience playing the middle. Bellomo also has a lot of reps as a defender, so she's able to easily transition to different roles. She's showing a high court IQ this club season, which is leading to a lot of impressive, instinctive plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='490371' first='Brooklynn' last='Brassard'], OH Mattawan/FaR Out

Brassard is one of the more explosive outsides I've seen this club season. She's got tremendous take off from the floor. So much so, it's hard not to notice. Listed at 5'9”, Brassard elevates well above the net to be able to battle with the 6-footers. Her swing is also very smooth, making for a lot of powerful attacks. Brassard also moves well defensively and is showing signs of improving her stock in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='732307' first='Sarah' last='Giroux'], OH Flat Rock/Michigan Elite

The 6-foot Giroux is looking sharp in club play thus far in 2025. She's showing a nice mix of power and offspeed swings, but is consistently able to place the ball in challenging spots for opponents to dig up. Giroux looks to be letting the game come to her and not forcing anything.

[player_tooltip player_id='454377' first='Erica' last='Heffner'], OH TC Central/Northshore

What you like about Heffner's game is she doesn't need a lot of room, space, or time to still pull out a powerful swing. Her technique is so solid that the ball just flies off her hand, even if she's playing it without building any forward momentum toward the ball. That allows her to be relentless throughout a match and rack up kills through her power game.

[player_tooltip player_id='523868' first='Bella' last='Jamison'], OH Flint Powers/Michigan Elite

Jamison is doing a lot to help her club team in all phases of the game. Her serving and passing have been a strong note, and she's doing a good job with the offensive opportunities she is getting. Jamison doesn't have the length like some of her peers, but she's getting a better feel for her approach and timing, and seeing improved shot speeds because of it.

[player_tooltip player_id='523873' first='Cecilia' last='Murray'], MH/RS Marian/Michigan Elite

Murray is looking like a solid option at the net, as she's able to play the middle or the right side. She's shown a lot of improvement in her timing, especially at the middle. She's connecting really well with her setters this club season to put down the ball with authority. Murray also is battling hard as a blocker and doing her part to aid her defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='523832' first='Charley' last='Romeo'], RS Northville/L2

Romeo is listed as a RS, but has shown she can play anywhere along the net. She's looked most at home on the right side, where she's doing a good job of high-pointing the ball and working over blockers. She's covering a lot of ground in her approach and seeing the court well to put the ball home.
