Hailey Yeager – Libero – HPSTL 16 South Diamond

The one thing I noticed about Hailey is her tenacity on defense and her willingness to sacrifice her body to keep the ball off the floor. Hailey is one of the top liberos I watched play over the weekend. She understands the role of the libero, and she will stop at nothing to give her team another swing. Her experience at HPSTL will help Holt have another big season. Hailey made huge plays during the tournament's second day, helping her team finish 3-0 on day 2.

[player_tooltip player_id='485599' first='Lilly' last='McGrail'] – Middle – STL Crossfire 16

The 5'11” middle from Holt HS has been a very effective player for Crossfire this season. Her 7th-place finish helped her team to a 7th-place finish in the 16 clubs blue division. Lilly is a quick middle with a mighty swing and puts up a big block. STL Crossfire would start the tournament with six straight wins, eventually losing to 1st Alliance 16 Red in the quarterfinals. 1st Alliance would go on and win the 16 Clue Blue division title.

Harper Law – Opposite – HPSTL 16 South Diamond

The lefty opposite for HPSTL packs one powerful swing on the right pin and can also deliver on the left pin. The team captain can play six rotations and has a rigid jump float serve where the bottom drops out once it crosses the net. Harper came up with some big swings in the team's three-set win over Fusion 16-2 National during day 2 of pool play.

Alyssa Boehmer – Opposite – 573 MO Juniors 16M

I caught the last part of the silver bracket match with Michio Chicago 16 Navy and was impressed with the outcome. Alyssa gave 573 MO a big blocker on the opposite side, but she also terminated on the outside. She is a big and strong hitter who is gaining valuable experience playing high-level volleyball, which will make her a big help for Rock Bridge in the fall.

Addison Livesay – Middle – [program_tooltip program_id='428760' first='Core' last='STL'] 16 Carolina

The Fort Zumwalt North product played on the opposite side and has moved to the middle for Core. In the team's gut-wrenching loss to Pipeline 16.1 25-13, 25-27, 14-16, Addison played a significant role in the middle, coming up with timely blocks and some key kills. The experience of playing middle will help her move back to the opposite for FZN.

Lillian Yemm – Middle – [program_tooltip program_id='428799' first='Rockwood' last='Thunder'] 16 Carolina

Lillian plays bigger than her 5'9” height. She transitions quickly, gets off the floor quickly, and has power in her swing. Lillian sees the court and blockers well enough to hit around them and knows the corners are her friend. I can see Lillian getting some opposite playing time at Lindbergh in the fall.

Lyric Hughes – Opposite – FVA 16

I only got to watch FVA play Circle City for a bit, but the one player who stood out was Lyric. Her big blocking opposite was familiar to me from her time as a big blocking opposite at Westminster Christian this past high school season. Lyric is used mainly as a significant defensive presence at the net and, at 6'0”, is a shutdown blocker.

Micheline Roth – Outside – HPSTL 16 White

Suppose you don't know who Micheline is, but get to know her. She is developing into a beast. At Kirkwood, she was used as an opposite but is a terminator on the outside for HPSTL 16 White. At 6'1”, she plays six rotations and has a cannon of an arm swing. A big and physical attacker who I already can see has improved a ton since the fall.

Ashlyn Genta – Middle – [program_tooltip program_id='428820' first='Team' last='Momentum'] 16 Orange

Ashlyn is one of only a few lefty middles I saw over the weekend and might be one of the youngest as a 2028 player. Ashlyn is a 5'10” lefty, can flat-out rip the ball out of the middle, and has one of the better slam dinks I have seen all tournament. Liberty has a big-time player coming through their program and could be the team starting opposite this coming season.
